We had an absolutely wonderful time! Greg took exceptional care of our group. We knew we wanted to go to Bowers Harbor, but other destinations were going to be hit & miss due to the holiday (New Year). Greg got us to Bowers and while we were there, called around to other spots to see where else we could get it. We were able to hit 2 more stops (Left Foot Charley and Silver Spruce) thanks to Greg's coordination. Friendly and polite guy! Arranged for us to have a larger vehicle to accommodate social distancing. He had water and Bluetooth speakers in the vehicle for us, offered to take group pictures, and occasionally checked in on the group to make sure we had everything we needed. We are most thankful to Greg for rescuing us later on that night... After continuing our wine tasting over dinner at a friend's house , we didn't want to drive back to the condo. We thought we were going to be stranded since there were no Uber drivers and calls to 2 local cab companies were "unsuccessful." We texted Greg and he came back to pick us up and take us home. We are so thankful! I will use this company any time I'm in the area! Top notch!

Our driver, Jim, was about as cold as stone. I should have checked him for a pulse before boarding. He clearly did NOT want to be working...or maybe it was us. 10 mother/daughters and grandma? Sounds like a cake walk to me. Anyway, we did not have reservations at 1 of the wineries they'd promised and we were stuck in a cold, windy tent when reservations would have ensured a place inside. We called GTT from the winery and were informed "it's very complicated to arrange tours of this size.. etc etc." NO KIDDING. We paid you $614 because we know it's difficult. You had ONE JOB and you failed. Driver blamed us for being late . Well guess what? In customer service, you don't get to pass blame. Not publicly anyway. What good is this service? Well, he drove us around for 4 hours and didn't crash. Check. Good thing there are plenty of other tour companies out there. I'll be happy to drop my cash elsewhere.

This was a horrible experience for me. I strongly suggest you read this whole review so you can get the full extent of what this company did to me. But if you don't want to just trust that you SHOULD NOT book a tour with them. I never write reviews but feel so strongly that I needed to share what happened to me so that they don't continue to screw people over. I booked this bus BACK IN MARCH for my sisters bachelorette party. When I booked it, everything was uncertain because of Covid-19 so when I did I made sure that we could eat and drink on this bus between traveling to the 6 wineries we wanted to visit. Greg ensured me that we could and even said in his email "That is half the fun, of course you can! :)". Great. I was thrilled! I put a $99 security deposit down even though on his voicemail, when I called the first time to make the reservation, it said I would not have to pay a security deposit because of what was going on in the world so that was nice that he LIED. Fast forward to August, about a month out from when we would be going on the wine bus, I reach out to check that everything is all good in regards to the reservations made for the 6 wineries we wanted to visit. Greg not only informed me we couldn't go to any of those wineries we wanted to originally go to but he hadn't even made the reservations yet. At this point, it had been hell to get into certain wineries up in the traverse city area because only certain wineries were doing large parties. So he informs me on which wineries we can attend and I tell him the three that we would settle for, not causing any trouble at all because I totally understood, given the time, everything was tricky and with our group of 14 it may be difficult to get into the specific wineries wanted to go to. At that point Greg THANKED me for being so compliant and understanding regarding the fact that we couldn't go to the wineries we originally wanted to go to and for the fact that he hadn't reached out and told me this...I had to reach out to him and if I didn't, I don't know when or if he would have done that. Fast forward to exactly 4 DAYS before our scheduled tour. I called to change the credit card on file because the one I gave the security deposit with wasn't the one I wanted to have the remainder of the charges on. When I spoke with Greg, he happily took my new card number and then informed me that we would have to wear masks on the bus the whole time......I told him I understood that because on any public transportation you do have to do that right now. Then we hang up. The next day, I get an email from Grand Traverse Tours confirming the reservation and begin to read all the rules we have to follow. One of these rules being that we CANNOT eat or drink on the bus ....... this had to be a joke. It is the whole reason why we wanted to ride on a party bus to the wineries to begin with. So I call and ask for Greg and the person asks why I was calling and I explain the situation as in I made sure back in MARCH that we could eat or drink on this bus and I heard NO UPDATE saying that had changed. Greg gets on the phone and is an absolute nightmare to speak with. He was incredibly rude and not understanding at all to the fact that 36 hours before our scheduled tour...I get informed that we can't eat or drink on the bus even though I had talked to him the DAY BEFORE on the phone and he just neglected to tell me that VITAL piece of information. But made sure I knew we had to wear masks! He informed me that it was a LAW and we could not eat or drink on the bus which was an absolute LIE because it isn't a law that we cannot eat or drink on public transportation. I understood wearing a mask but not this. I was so infuriated. Before I could even get a word in to explain my frustration he was threatening ME the CUSTOMER to cancel our trip because of the "tone" I took with him. Unbelievable. This guy clearly does not know how to run a business and is a flaming idiot. I was completely understanding and compliant to every single thing he changed and went back on since booking it in March and then he had the audacity to talk to me the way he did. This was for a bachelorette party for my older sister that I had spent MONTHS planning. Friends were flying in from out of town and driving 4 hours up north to do this. Luckily, we found a different service called Brew Bus who were AWESOME and helped us out in a bind and we were allowed to eat and drink on their bus. Do NOT book with them. Period!

I just got back from a girls weekend in traverse city and grand traverse city tours was great for our wine tour. Rebecca was our driver and she was amazing! She was friendly, funny organized and very professional. On our drive she gave us history of the area and the different wineries. She took a bunch of pictures for us and then while she waited for us in the bus she edited them and sent them to me. I would highly recommend this company and especially Rebecca. She made it extra fun!
