Beer and Wine tours of traverse city did an excellent job! I rented their funky bus and got upgraded to their luxury black bus. It had air conditioning, nice leather seats and more than enough room for our party.
Our driver Pete was AMAZING! He made sure we got photos at every winery, made sure we were on schedule and knew what was going on and even took us to two areas to take awesome pictures.
Pete really cared about us and did a great job making sure we had fun.
Molly helped me plan the whole trip, she gave me a list of wineries and restaurants and worked with me throughout the pandemic.
Finally, we had a dinner reservation and for a small fee, Pete dropped us off at dinner in downtown traverse city, waited for us to eat and then drove us over 35 minutes home back to our cabin.
10000/10 would recommend this company to anyone!

Visited Bowers, Brys, Hawthorne, and Chateau Grand Traverse with my mom, brother, husband, and sister-in-law. Chris was a great driver! Very knowledgeable, and the vehicle was very clean. All of the wineries we visited upheld the current social distancing and mask guidelines due to COVID. I highly recommend going during the middle of the week if crowds are not your thing right now. Will book again in the coming years!

Jody, Molly and Stacy were outstanding !!! They went above and beyond in supporting our needs and timelines for our large group of volunteers. Molly understood our needs to be connected with the Special Olympics and Jody worked "her magic" to make it happen. A huge shout out to Stacy for keeping our riding traditions alive and making sure we were home safe. Thank you so much Traverse City Beer and Wine Tours......count on us for booking next year.

We had a group of 14 for the wine tour. It was super fun celebrating a birthday at four of the Old Mission wineries. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! Our driver, Candy was awesome! I will definitely go on another wine tasting tour and highly recommend Traverse City Wine and Beer Tours and Candy.

After a good first experience with the company, I booked another tour as a returning customer. The next time I was very disappointed with the tour. The website states that we would be visiting 4 stops on the peninsula, however we only visited 3 stops! The 3rd stop was not even on the peninsula! It was downtown, 2 blocks away from my Airbnb. I feel that the tour was a waste of money because they drove us to 2 stops and I could have walked to the 3rd on my own. The 4th stop was non existent. We even paid a higher price this time due to covid-19 capacity restrictions. The website should be updated if they are going to limit us to 3 stops and include downtown locations. I am very disappointed and will not be returning for another tour.

My two friends and I took a private wine tour through Traverse City Wine and Beer Tour after the company had been recommended to me by my cousin who immensely enjoyed her tour several years ago. I spoke with Molly on the phone to set up my tour, and she couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful! She had a great knowledge of the wineries choices we had four our tour along with the exact tour length we should take since we weren't being picked up in Traverse City. She got us all set up and the company sent reminder emails, texts, and even called a couple days before so we knew the exact agenda and pick up time. Our Cadillac Escalade appeared to be a brand new model and was super clean. Our driver, Terri, was one of the best drivers and tour guides I've ever had and was knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. She was a very safe driver who was kind, friendly, and fun-we loved our day with her! We will be asking for her on all future tours! Thank you so much for making our Girls' Weekend so special!

This was an excellent experience! Chris was the driver and he is amazing! He is super nice, on time and would recommend drinks/educate on the wineries' most popular items. He offered to take photos at each winery. The bus was super clean. I was worried about sharing a bus with another party but it turned out great! I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for an excellent experience!

The tour we signed up for was not what we got. We signed up for 4 stops on the Leelanau Peninsula tour, 2 with free tastings, 2 paid. First, we only did 3 stops. Next, we stopped at two places on the Peninsula, neither had free tastings (one was offering tastings by appointment only). The last stop was in downtown Traverse City. I reached out with my concerns and no one has contacted me. I did notice that they changed their description of the Leelanau tour after I complained. Hoping to hear back from someone and get this issue resolved. Pretty disappointed!

Covid has us playing catch up with our website info (now up to date) as of today. This does not mean that it will remain so. The wineries change the rules almost constantly. Where we use to be able to get to 4 places in a 4 hour trip even on a busy day now is not the case. Wineries for the most part no longer do tastings. Today it is mostly wine by the glass and this takes longer.

This is the second year we have used Traverse City Wine and Beer tours.
Both times we were outside Traverse City and go picked up promptly by Tim for our tour. The Shuttle is clean and comfortable. They provide plenty of water, and snack. We did bring our own goodies as well as purchase some on board beverages at one of the wineries. Tim is professional and very flexible. He and his wife offer great options to personalize and are willing to listen to what you want. We asked to add a quick stop at a winery just for a purchase and Tim made it happen without adding additional time.
The places they have taken us to eat have been nothing short of amazing.
This is totally worth the investment, it is a great day!

We had a fun time touring the local wineries. The rep from their company was very helpful and lined up our itinerary based off what we were looking to do and their experience. Awesome when you don't know the area, or need extra help. Jim the driver was great! He made sure we were on time to each stop and was good about helping us take pictures of the group and getting us rounded up to leave on time. He even went to the hostess stand to make sure our group got seated right away. Overall the experience I had with TC wine and Beer Tours could not have been better. Will use them again!

Looking to have a bachelorette party July 12-14 in TC and was inquiring about prices for around 15-25 people and/or if you accommodate that amount of people. More than likely the pick up would be from a local Air bnb, would that be acceptable or would the group have to meet at a pre-approved location?

Thanks so much for your question! Please contact us at 231-499-2656 and we will check to see if there is a vehicle available for you that day! We do have vehicles that accommodate up to 36 passengers! We look forward to speaking with you!

How many stops do you make in the 4 hrs and how much are the tastings
Written July 30, 2017
We made 4 stops in the 4 hours. It depends on the winery that you visit on the tour. The ones that we went to we had 3 free tastings (up to 5 tastings at each place) and one winery that was $1 a tasting.
Written August 1, 2017
If you choose a private tour you can choose the wineries you go to or have the tour coordinator pick or both! We chose a couple and they picked a couple for us. If you do a join in tour you do not get to choose the wineries. The tasting fees that some wineries charge is not covered in the tour price. We had a GREAT time and HIGHLY recommend TCBW tours!

Everything. Looking for 4 adults Wed. Oct.11 to show our friends from England wine country. Price? Length? How many wineries? Any other sights? Will travel with more people. Recommend where to stay on the bay? Any and all info helpful. Thank you Gayle Schutt

HI Gayle- Thank you for your inquiry. We do have availability on Wednesday 10.11.17. You can schedule your tour to start any time during the day for a Private tour. Most of our wineries will close at 5pm that day. Cost for 4 people would be $239.20 for 4 hours.. This is a 20% discount off our regular pricing of $299. You can add additional hours at $99 per hour. We usually get to one winery per hour but you can move at your own pace. We also have join in group tours at $49.50 per person for a 4 hour tour. 11-3pm- Leelanau Peninsula tour- visits 3 wineries and the Northern Latitudes Distillery. 1-5pm- Old Mission Wine tour- visits 4 wineries. 4-8pm- Wine and Beer combo- 2 wineries on Old Mission and 2 Microbreweries. We have about a dozen hotels on the Bay. THe closest one to Downtown is West Bay Beach Resort. Others on the East Bay as suggestions would be Sugar Beach , Grand Beach and Cherry Tree Inn and Suites. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, JODY 231.499.2656

We stayed at the Country Suites Inn and this is where they picked us up. The rest of the wine tour guests where picked up at their hotels, motels, and even a residential home.
As far as Elk Rapids, you will have to give the Wine tour company a call and ask them what their pick up policy is.
