I enjoy Michigan. Traverse Bay area is some of the prettiest of all of Michigan. This lighthouse is a wonderful photo option. I would travel to it again!

Went here based on word of mouth. Historic site up the peninsula between traverse bay. $4 per adult to climb the lighthouse. I feel like it's a donation to maintain the history. Right on the 45th parallel. Worth the 20 minute scenic drive.

Great drive up the point to get to the lighthouse. The parking was a little tight and this was during the week!

Such a pleasant drive to the old iconic lighthouse. Take time to walk to top and experience what keepers of the light did twice each night. The view out of the lighthouse is beautiful.

A beautiful and quiet beach. Lovely to sit and watch the traffic on the lake go by. Lots of wildlife to see. Very relaxing. The lighthouse is very simple, not very sophisticated as a museum and that's what is really nice about it. Easy parking.

The lighthouse was cool to see in person, $4/person to go through the lighthouse does not seem like alot but it is very small and closed off inside. Very claustrophobic if there is alot of people inside. The beach and lake was just beautiful, the...More

This is a great spot... beautiful and plan to take pictures! We went as part of our exploration of Michigan wineries. You can go to a winery, then take a break at the Lighthouse, then go to another winery on your drive back. Gorgeous country!

The drive to this attraction is half the fun! Take your time going up one side of the peninsula and then return down the other side. Lots of places to stop on the way, but leave a little time to just rest and enjoy at...More

This lighthouse was small and quaint, but did provide a great view out over the lake. We enjoyed climbing the ladder-like steps to the top to see what the lighthouse-keeper would have seen.

If the question is why it was closed on a Saturday afternoon, I have no idea. I do understand that it is volunteers who open and close and run the gift shop of the light house so perhaps there we no volunteers at that time... More

We were open 10 to 5pm- I have the gift shop records to prove it. ? Maybe they have this lighthouse confused with Grand Traverse Lighthouse. ?? MP Light Manager
