A beautiful Sunday afternoon on Old Mission Penninsula. Stopped at Hawthorne to have a taste of their wines. We drove on a short winding road thru orchards and vineyards to get to the tasting room. Erica greeted us immediately, even though she had other tastings...More

This is a can’t miss winery. You can see both bays, which is gorgeous. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We have always had quick service. The patio is the best spot to enjoy a glass of wine, very relaxing.

This was a vacation visit while on the peninsula. We were impressed with the views immediately. The tasting room is small but it was not crowded during our visit near closing time. Our server was friendly and explained the wines we had chosen. We found...More

But that’s it. Very scenic, but very small tasting room. Music was too loud, should have been set up outside. Very scrimpy tastings. Will not return.

We enjoyed our tastings at Hawthorne particularly the Cab Franc/Merlot but it was too pricey for us. Pretty place.

During blossom day this Hawthorne’s was one of our favorite stops! I even had to purchase a bottle because it was so good! Sitting at the top a long drive way, there are very nice views.

This was my third visit to Traverse City, focused on wine tasting. I’ve never cared for the wines on Old Mission, Leelanau always seemed far superior....that is until now. Hawthorne makes EXCELLENT wines, especially their whites. I bought 4 different varieties. Aromatic, expressive, balanced and...More

Cambria hotel and suites, you will love it here. Not to many shuttles going to any vineyard. As for a dress code come as you are and no restaurant at this vineyard.
