A great brewery with passionate, knowledgable staff and great beer.
We enjoyed a flight of interesting beers across a range of styles…all exceptionally good and well priced.
The server was so enthusiastic explaining everything about the hops, flavours etc so we learnt so much
Has well as quenching our thirst…very reasonable prices too.(among TC best breweries).
We sat out in a lovely courtyard …brewery covid safety measures excellent.

I think this place would have been really fun, but we had a camper and they did not have parking for it. We were a bit stuck. They also do not have ciders due to a bad apple crop (or so I understand). I was excited to come here for the eco and the cider, but my husband had his beer and I had some decent Kombucha. It was Ok, but great outside area if you're with a fun group.

This was the 3rd stop on our Traverse City Beer and Wine Tour. They had a ton of micro brews and they also had snacks. There was both inside and outside seating. There is a cool industrial atmosphere with exposed ducts and speakers mounted in kegs. I am planning on going back again with TC Beer and Wine tours!!!

We stopped here for a flight of 12 beers. E tried the different varieties and there were some pleasant surprises. If it looks strange give it a try and you might find a new favorite. The one that stood out for both of us was the Scottish Moor Heather Ale. Came back the next day to get a growler to go. They follow all the health practices so don't shy away.

First off, I love that this is listed as an "attraction"! I say it is a must visit for anyone interested in the TC brewery scene. For a relatively young brewery (even with an apparently seasoned Brewmaster), this place has 16 beers on tap. Furthermore, these are not American Lagers (aka beer flavored water). They have some amazing left field brews, such as the chocolate mint stout and the Tai Chi spiced stout, and some more traditional styles that they do amazingly well (like the brown and Scotch ale). I could go on, but i really just suggest you visit. And with $1 3 oz glasses, you can try a lot of beer!

While located aways out of town (heck, aways from *anything*), Terra Firma is well worth the trek. For the limited amount of time they've been open, they've manage to produce a nice range of varied, and diverse brews, and done so very, very well. Better yet, they plan on adding more taps to taste in the future.
While they don't offer sample "flights" you can get 3-ounce pours of anything on the tasting menu. And a visit includes their beer "menu" to help you with your selections.
Two important notes, however: Terra Firma does not offer food--just Michigan-made snacks only. But you're welcome to bring food in with you. In fact, the bartender told us that some patrons even have food delivered during their visit to soften the hassle of bringing their food in from elsewhere. Second, Terra Firma is decidedly NOT a sports bar or media hangout. The environment is convivial and subdued, not one of sensory overload. And for that, it's an even more appealing locale.

I visited the site of Terra Firma two years ago, and have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the tap room. I was not disappointed! The beer is wonderful- from the resurrected Manitou to the Lizard King IPA. I highly recommend sampling everything on tap. The new taproom is absolutely beautiful. Brewery Terra Firma is an excellent addition to the Michigan microbrew scene.

If you are in the Traverse City area, do yourself a favor and stop here!! I got the honey beer which was delicious and my friends got flights. All of the beers we tried were great!! The flights are nearly full size glasses. You most definitely get your moneys worth here. It's kind of tucked away but worth it!!

Enjoy very good beer made from local ingredients. This brewery and farm is ultra environmentally friendly. The staff was attentive and enjoyable to talk to. A slight trip out of your way is rewarding!

We stopped here for a beer or two on our way to Great Wolf Lodge (I think it was less than 2 miles away) and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The general manager was there and patiently explained about the beers and answered all our questions. This place definitely has some beers you would have a hard time finding in other places. Honey is a frequent ingredient in their beers as are other products infused in the beer just prior to serving. This farm is also has gone through the Michigan Agriculture Environmentally Assured Program and uses some of their own farm-grown hops. I hadn't heard a great deal about this place before stopping, but it turned into one of the best beer stops in the Traverse City area.

Are dogs allowed outside?
Yes they are! As long as they are on a leash and not left unattended. We even have a water bowl for your furry friend.
