Stopped and played Elmbrook on my way to meet friends. The course was in nice condition. It measures 6,021-yards from the longest tees. It is par 72 with four sets of tees. Sand bunkers on some holes, water on only 3 holes. For what you get I felt it overpriced based on other courses in the area.

Have been playing Elmbrook Evert Tuesday since May. A challenging course, with tight fairways and some difficulty greens. A course that can challenge you in areas. They have afternoon special in the club house (drinks). I've enjoyed playing there this season

Our family like Elmbrook. It's certainly not a big challenge as many of the holes are 'half pipes'. Slices can end up back in the fairway. We've also liked the fact that they have junior tees and are very young golfer friendly.

Had planned to stop by a different course, but never booked a tee time before arriving to town. Google led us to Elmbrook, and I’m glad it did. Perfect day, maps to show where each hole was, all I could have asked differently is a little less breeze, and a couple degrees warmer, but it’s Michigan, can’t expect much lol

My son and I played Elmbrook this past week (7/12/07). The course was in "average" condition, typical for a municipal course, and terribly overpriced @ $49. per person, with cart. It appeared that Elmbrook sets their fees similar to other area courses, with out the "quality" that other area courses offered. Based on our experience and value received, we will not return to Elmbrook.

Worst course in traverse city the owner could care less about customers who come weekly and respect their course
Owner sends 6 man groups out and when you call in for the slow pace of play they will come scold you and accuse you of damaging course and hitting into people
Will not be coming back until the owner gets their head out of their rear

This course is falling apart. I will never play here again. It's a joke how bad the grounds are... Huge gouges in the greens, tore up the boxes... So bad that we left during our round to play somewhere else.

This is a fantastic public course. Every year my brothers and I head to TC for a golf weekend. Rather than spending a fortune at a resort courses, we head on over to Elmbrook and it's never disappointed. This course has awesome bay views. It is well maintained. Reasonable pricing and the staff is amazing. We might play other courses in TC on our golf weekend but we always make sure we play Elmbrook before leaving town.

Staff was friendly. Forward tees weren't consistent with the card. Some rough greens and cart paths but we would go back for something and somewhere different to golf when we are in the area.

My wife and I found this surprise golf course online when we were visiting Traverse City. First of all, when we called the girl answering the phone was quite pleasant and gave us our tee time. We played around 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, Kyle, in the pro shop was very friendly and accomodating. We hit a few balls on the practice range (off the mats) and Kyle suggested to us that it might be best if we started on the back nine for faster play.
I play the blue tees and my wife is a beginner and played a combination of the yellow tees (women's) and the orange tees (junior). This was perfect for us as she usually picks up on the long holes,as she gets frustrated...The junior tees were perfect for her, as even the par fives were only 135 yards or so long! She hit some great shots and really enjoyed the scenery and the golf round! - she even made a par on one par 4!
For the back tees - The course has lots of hills and blind shots and the greens are raised and some quite sloped. The doglegs and trees make you work the ball both ways and you really have to stay on your toes with the speed of the greens. The greens are nice and plenty fast. Some of the small grass tees were patchy and uneven, but you could always find a good spot.
The pace of play was great and when we finished, we went in to grab a beer and sit on the patio. It was a great day and when we visit again, we will be back.
