We have stayed here many times in the past, but never in the fall before. It was like we had the park to ourselves. There probably less than 30 campers there at any time. We like it for its location. It's easy to hit wineries...More

We visit many times a summer. The beach is clean, the water clear although it doesn't warm up till July. But kids don't seem to mind that. Parking is close and plentiful. Parents and grandparents appreciate that when you have coolers, floats, boogie boards to...More

We only walked along the beach area, which was very pleasant and well maintained. There are public restrooms and benches. The campground is across a busy highway but there is a crossing.

I have camped in the State Park for 3-4 years consecutively. Typically, we go in August and the weather has always treated us well. Within those trips, here are my personal notes: Pros: Cheap option compared to pricey hotels nearby, centrally located near restaurants, beaches,...More

The state park backs up to the TART trail. So you can do miles of snow shoeing. Just google TART Traverse Area Recreational Trail for maps. Amazing location.
