Stopped in and three of us had the flight of beers. Six 6oz glasses of beer for $15 and a great selection to choose from. We all enjoyed each of our choices. Fun, industrial atmosphere and there was a lively Friday afternoon crowd. Service is...More

I would say it's worth a trip over to Right Brain if your up in TC. I tried a Dead Kettle IPA , a Will Power Citrus Pale Ale and a Everybody's Doing It Citrus Ale. All three were pretty good. They had probably twenty...More

Bring your thirst and try some brews. They have ginormous flights! They've got funky beers and this is a funky building. Great place for people to meet up and play some games. There's always kids in there too, lots of space. There's a few food...More

This is definitely a hidden gem! It’s location is basically the middle of nowhere in comparison to the rest of Traverse City, but it’s well worth finding. We were looking for something to do while it was raining and were pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t look...More

We walked in- sat at a table. We were VERY hungry. As we were looking at the menu, the guy is picking up the condiments and menus. We said we wanted something to eat. The guy said the food truck is closed and walked away....More

Great place off the beaten path but right next to one. This a hide away for anyone who loves micro brewed beer. The building looks like an old warehouse with a few small businesses in it.

A craft brewery that experiments with unique flavors. Try the Cake Walk and Pig Porter. Avoid the Luminous Lemon Ale—-lemon flavor is too strong. Also, if you want real food with your brews, show up before 7 pm (when their food truck departs).

They experiment a lot with unusual beer flavorings. Sometimes it works, often not. Atrocious service. I sat at the bar and was ignored for 15 minutes, so I went to stand in line at the cash register, only to see them start to serve bar...More

Gem of the Midwest! (4 Replies)
Thank you to all who helped us navigate through all the things to do, places to eat in Traverse City and neighboring cities of Highway 31! **note: our trip started in Ann Arbor, Mi to Saugatuck, MI...I've posted that part of the trip on the forums for those 2 cities.** Just a little background. We are 2 couples traveling together. We have lived in Toledo for the past year...our good friends flew out from California to see the Midwest sights. Lodging: Cambria Suites Inn Restaurants:...More

Wow. You visited some of the best that the TC area has to offer. You really did your homework. Haven't been to any of the restaurants or shops that you described, but they are on our "list". All sound wonderful, including the "Chubby Mary". I know Cook's House is the top of the line. Thanks for the detailed report and glad you had such a wonderful time.
