We walk this every day when we are in Traverse City. The trail goes along the shore in one direction, and into town in the other direction. The bathrooms are spotless. Lots of water activities and watercraft rentals and a nice little beach. Great views of the shore. Right next to downtown with lots of good restaurants and shopping. Good... More

This large waterfront makes Traverse City one of the many things I love about this place. They have many piers and docks, great green spaces, nice beaches and great trails - all are along with Lake Michigan shoreline

Excellent stop along the beach and marina. Some swimming areas perfect for the whole family. Nice walking paved walking paths (TART trail) along the water. Easy parking and restrooms nearby.

A great place to be during the Cherry Festival, watch the fireworks or air show. Also an evening walk on the pier and a sunset view.

With a Life guard during summer, my kids was able to explore their swimming skills in open water. Clean bathrooms, clean sandy beach with enough shades from trees. Watching people enjoy all kinds of water sports, kids play safely in shallow and clean water, we did not leave the beach. When you are done with beach you can walk to... More

This is a nice beach if you are in town and like to people watch, but since you are surrounded by water here in Traverse City there are a lot of other beautiful beaches to enjoy, but I'll keep those secret!

So much fun! Smaller beach just yards from downtown Traverse City. Swim, rent kayaks, watch the boats you can do it all. Not too crowded, all ages but lots of families for sure. There's also a great splash pad area which is great for rinsing off all that sand on your way out!

Love this park!! It has a great beach and swimming area, plus a splash park. I took my nieces and nephews paddle-boarding on our recent trip. They were able to accommodate 9 people without reservations, were very safety conscious, and were also very professional. If you are not used to the Great Lakes (even though this is actually Grand Traverse... More

The children will love the splash pad, and there is always lots of things to do. I love how convenient it is. We especially love walking out on the pier in the evening to watch the sunset.
