Clinch is a great marina for the day or a few nights. water, power and nice restroom make it the best harbor on the bay.The staff is very helpful and you are right downtown.

Clinch Park has been completely redone in the past couple of years including the removal of the zoo, steam train, old and run down restrooms and miniature Traverse City, and the addition of a new snack shop/grill/seating with large bathrooms, kids water pad/play area, and walking/biking pathways. There is a kayak, paddleboard, etc. rental business there and several places to... More

While I was here in January, the views of Grand Traverse Bay were spectacular. As there is a sizable Marina here, it would be a great place to watch the boat traffic and to enjoy cool lake breezes during the summer.

We visited on January 1st. It was quiet and beautiful. The view was peaceful. The bay almost magical in the cold, snowy weather.

This is what communities should have a safe and clean park that overlooks the lake. Went there three days in a row. You can walk on the clan beach or have your kids play on the equipment that is well maintained. Safe and friendly

H travel with a group of women most of the time, and family quit often. When we come to this area we spend a day (or just an afternoon doing nothing but relaxing. This park has some ting for all. My favorite is the clean beach which is still right downtown and close to everything. You can go to a... More

Nice park in the downtown area and great view for the lake. The first time when we visited Traverse City, we could not wait to run on the beach in the park after visiting the visitor center. In the chill morning, I like to hold a cup of coffee (from the downtown coffee shop) walking in the park.

Every time I go to Clinch Park I am reminded of short-sighted, unimaginative, provincial thinking. It, and the majority of the bay front throughout Traverse City, is walled off from easy and casual public use by development and a 4-lane highway. Like an anti-Burnham the operational thinking about Clinch Park seems to be; "Make no big plans." Sure, the open... More

A great stop in Downtown Traverse City, include facilities for swimming at the nearby beach, outdoor snack bar with sandwiches, rentals, movie house, marina and boat ramp access.

Went here the other day with my family. Wow what a wonderful gorgeous beach. Very family friendly, beautiful sand and beautiful water. They rent kayaks there. The water was wonderful. the only drawback was the traffic but I would recommend if you're in Traverse City to spend the day at Clinch Park.
