Walked around the park while seeing the amazing views of the Traverse Bay with the sun setting. It is only a short walk to Front Street where there is plenty of options for dinner.

We vacationed for four days in Traverse. We booked a transient slip at Clinch for our pontoon. It came with two parking passes and access to the marina restroom. It was so convenient to keep our boat here rather than moored off of our hotel as we have done in previous years. We will definitely do this again next year!

Gorgeous views of bay, marina, and parks. Worth the walk, even if the weather is not "chamber of commerce" perfect.

I rented a boat slip at the marina at the park on June 25-26th and the idea was to put the boat in and do some boating with the family. Well imagine this!

We back the the boat down the launch and I am in the boat and my 17 year old son in truck. The launch goes off without a hitch and I tell my son go park the trailer and meet me back at the launch. Well guess what? There is no on site trailer parking. You heard me right there is no trailer parking. You have to exit the park and find a place to park your trailer on your own. This is the most craziest thing I ever heard. Needless to say my son took the trailer all the back to the motel and walked back to the marina which took almost an hour. Oh and by the way they used to have trailer parking but they eliminated it so there is more parking for the park patrons. An absolute train wreck. Never again!

We visited Clinch Park twice during our time in the Traverse City area. The park is beautiful with great views of the boats and water. The Splash Pad was excellent; our granddaughter loved her time spent playing in the water.

Great to have a beach so close to Front St. when you're trying to kill time. The kids enjoyed the little play area near the splash pad and enjoyed the dining area. It's great that the splash pad is open again, especially because it was closed last year due to COVID, you can rent kayaks, and there are changing stalls, BUT the beach was so-so. There was a lot of debris in the water and on the sand, which was not only disappointing, but also gross, especially if you have little kids playing.

We drove to the park and rode our bikes to the south end and then back all along the water nearly to town and back. It is a very friendly biking town. There are meters in the parking lot and public bathrooms over near the boat harbor.

The park is an easy walk (through an underpass) from the town's main district.

The views of the bay and the city from the end of the park's dock are very good.

There are a few amenities at the park...but it is just a park.

It was fun to people watch there and all. But, there is no way I would've ever stepped into the water there. I heard they had sewer leakage in there more then once this summer. I wouldn't risk it. There are also prettier more secluded beaches in the nearby area. It is worth going to but only average and to spend a few hours but not all day.
