My husband and I did the Kayak, Bike & Brew as literally the first activity we did when arriving in Traverse City for our honeymoon in late June 2020. It was a fun way to get around downtown TC and visit a few breweries in a short span (and maybe find a favorite), as well as get a little sun and exercise. Max was our guide and he was very personable, offered good recommendations, and was fun to chat with. I also invited another young couple on the trip to sit with us at one of the breweries so that helped make things a bit more fun for me (though my husband doesn't like talking to strangers he knows he'll never talk to again). The Filling Station had great pizza, and we enjoyed the cocktails on tap at Rare Bird. My husband and the other couple we were with were sorely disappointed at the lucky charms beer that was at one of the breweries and they complained it didn't taste enough like lucky charms (so beware)! The final optional brewery that we walked to (right next to the Kayak Bike & Brew shop) was closed when we got there, but by that point we were okay with leaving to check into our hotel.

They gave us each a drawstring backpack with sunglasses and I think a sticker or tattoo or something. It was nice to have something to put my sunscreen in -- but don't make the same mistake I did of not actually putting on sunscreen thinking that you wouldn't be in the sun enough to need it! We definitely were in the sun *plenty* and I got burned. I'm just glad I wasn't wearing a tank top.

This was such a fun family activity! There was a lot of coordination required for biking and kayaking, which was handled seamlessly. Our tour guide Tony was very friendly and made this the perfect start to our vacation. We would highly recommend this to people who are active, want to see the city and enjoy a good brew!

I loved this tour! Our group had such a good time and our guide, Lou, was awesome. The biking was relaxing and we were able to see the water, the city area and of course the breweries. The kayaking was also fun and the last portion was challenging but exciting. You'll definitely get wet so wear your swimsuit, but it was worth it. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family looking for something fun to do in TC!

Never been so disappointed with a tour before. We knew there were storms rolling into town right at the time our tour was. We talked to the company right before and asked if they expected the storm to be an issue, they said absolutely not we'll still be able to have a great time. Well, that didn't happen. Let's start with it took me three bikes before the forth was rideable. The first the handle bars collapsed, the second had a seat that didn't move, the third had a missing rubber grip on the one handle bar. We went to the first bar where we found out that no drinks were included and we weren't really given any instructions. Our guide didn't come in a tell us anything about the brewery, town, or even encourage the group to get to know each other. He was busy eating dinner with his friends in another room. We left there early to ride to the next brewery but were so early that they weren't prepared for us. We ordered a round of drinks and minutes later then sky's began to open up. Our guide said that we obviously can't kayak now, and he'd just take us back to their shop to have drinks at their bar. Well, that meant that we got less than half of the time we paid for, none of the kayaking, and $10 pre-made drinks at their bar. They made over $160 off the two of us for less than 2 hrs of effort. Conversely, we could have rented bikes at the other shop downtown and took ourselves on a tour for $30. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money here. We called to try and get some sort of voucher or rain check and couldn't even get them to call us back. These people are a bad joke.

One guide for 24 people, kayaking after four brewery stops in a choppy bay waters was not safe. No instruction or information was given at all. Instructor was useless. When one person in a middle of the procession that was about 20 -30 minutes long flipped and needed help, guide went to help and people in the front had no idea where to go.
Biking portion was fun, second leg went through very pretty area. Kayaking was on a filthy smelly canal with low rusty bridges, some of which were under construction, that had rusty nails protruding under. Last brewery stop was during kayaking portion all went in in wet pants.
In a tandem kayaks, front people got completely wet and set waist deep in not very clean water for at least 45 minutes.
Wanted to end tour early, at first kayak stop, was told I can’t.
Last brewery was very nice.

Booked my tour months in advance and received an email less than a month prior to my trip telling me they had to cancel because they decided to hold their staff party that day. Didn't offer a discount or coupon for future services. Did give full refund but will be using a different service after this poor experience.

3 minutes into our tour there was a sudden "Michigan Hurricane" Tony quickly had us take shelter, after 30 minutes we decided to push on with flooded streets, needless to say we were soaked, but it was a blast. Riding thru the giant puddles, like kids. We dried out quite a bit after our first stop. Kayaking was great and it later became sunny and everyone had a great time. Tony is a great guide, I'm sure the others are also good, but would highly recommend Tony.

This is totally misrepresented. It is not a kayak trio but a walking pub crawl. Save your money and just visit the breweries on your own. The owner is not accommodating. We booked thinking it was a kayak trip down the Boardman. We had done this trip in 2016. In 2016, we kayaked down the Boardman to Lake Michigan. Evidentially, now you paddle across the Lake and back. Then get out and have to walk to the Breweries on your own. The website doesn't adequately explain the plan. When we found out it wasn't as advertised and requested our money back, they kept our money stating their no refund policy. When we persisted that KBB had misrepresented the trip, The Owner Troy Daily threatened us with his lawyer. He kept our $410 and we got nothing. Totally bad business and not fair treatment of customers. Would definitely recommend you stay away from this business. Total rip off and no customer service. Stay away!!

Several hours of bicycling around town, some kayaking across Broadman Lake, and back again. Four different breweries. Beers and other refreshments are not included in the tour price. It was a good time.

Wonderful time, great tour. Our son recommended we take this tour and we had the best time. Everything was organized well, instructions were clear and we had a blast. We visited a good variety of breweries and Max, the tour-guide knew them al well so his recommendations were great. All breweries were prepared for us and service was quick. The group was pretty diverse and although we were the oldest (in our early 50's) we could keep up with the biking and kayaking (and drinking ;)). Highly recommend this tour!
