We did a reserve tasting which we enjoyed. We like dry wines, so maybe not for sweet drinkers. Not a water view, but overlooks vineyards. They are open later so can enjoy sunsets with a glass of wine. Staff was very helpful. Would do again.

Visited this with my wife and 2 early-20s daughters. It was late afternoon and we wanted to visit a winery. This was perfect as it's less than 10 minutes away from downtown Traverse City.

It's a beautiful venue overlooking a small vineyard, with nothing else to be seen at all. Most of the seating was outside.

They did a nice job in the COVID world. Masks, sanitizer at the table, socially distanced seating. No fault of there's, but you do lose some of the tasting experience when they don't guide you through it.

I thought that their wines we're good, and a bit sweet side, in my opinion. My daughters liked the wines, but disagreed with me on the sweetness. And it was interesting tasting two different vintages of the chardonnay, as you could clearly tell the difference.

Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a nice afternoon with family and friends.

My wife and I finished our day of hiking a bit earlier than planned and therefore made time to stop by the Rove Estate Tasting Room. The estate wasn't too busy, so we were able to begin an immediate tasting at the bar. This venue does five tastings per tasting flight. Our favorite was the Unoaked Chardonnay. The staff were friendly and eager to tell us about each wine.

We went on a windy/chilly, but sunny Saturday afternoon. Due to COVID and the fact that we have (5) gals in our group, we could not make a reservation indoor. So of course we opted for the patio!
The Estate is BEAUTIFUL! As you drive up the hill ,you feel like your in Oregon wine country! This location is also the highest point on the Leelanau peninsula (fun fact)!

We made our way to the bar to order a glass where I feel like we stood for a good 10min, being told repeatedly a bartender will be right with us...I should also mention the bar was not busy. So we waited. Staff really didn't care to speak on the wine or provide any recommendations, so we all got something different to taste test among us. (we were thirsty!)

With wine in tow, we headed outside where the patio and views are breathtaking! There's not a bad spot to be outside.

I had the Rose, which was underwhelming. But the views make up for it all!

One of the best wineries in Leelanau! Everything. We tasted was phenomenal and high quality. As a dry wine drinker, I would’ve taken any of them home. Choosing three bottles was a challenge. Definitely don’t sleep on this one!

I recently visited this hidden gem while on business in Traverse City. Wonderful staff, beautiful view, great overall environment. I've suffered from depression for some time now, but after visiting this place and having a long heart to heart conversation with a member of the staff named Drew, I have found a reason to be happy again. He helped me realize that I should never give up, no matter how difficult a situation is. Thank you Rove Estate, and thank you Drew.

With insurmountable pleasure,

Great overall experience. Incredible atmosphere. Even better wine and staff. Definitely our new favorite place in the traverse city area! I especially enjoyed the staff member named Evan. He was very knowledgeable and made me find a part of myself that I thought I’d lost long ago. 10/10

Have a cottage on Elk Lake so my wife and I have been to All of the Old Mission Wineries and vast majority of the Leelanau Wineries. Had a group of 7 of us and decided to come here and then do dinner in Leeland. Saw all the great reviews and had high expectations. First time here and it will be the last. Let me begin by stating the staff were not friendly at all and did not impress me with their knowledge of wine. The wine was average at best. A couple in our group decided on getting just one pour. The so-called pour was the same amount as everyone else’s tastings. I questioned it and the staff assured me it was different but it was not. The view is the only reason I rate this place average. Otherwise, it is poor. Lacks customer service and overpriced for what they offer.

Thank you for your feedback Gerard. I am very surprised by your experience at our family owned business. We pride ourselves in the quality of our100% estate grown wines. We have a small and friendly team, and customer service is very important to us. I apologize that you did not enjoy yourself and were less than satisfied. Next time you are in the area, please stop in and ask for me. Cheers, McKenzie Gallagher

This was the first winery in the TC area we tried and were sorely disappointed. The view was nice. The facility pleasant enough. We were the only people in the place for the 35 minutes were were there. The cost was $7 for 5 tastes--and "taste" is a generous term. Half a swallow. Literally, and not enough to get a good feel for the wine. We opted to buy a glass each and get a meat and cheese plate , and we sat in the empty tasting room. We werent excited about either of the wines we selected, based on the tiny tastes--we might have been happier with a glass chosen from a sample we could really taste. The meat and cheese plate was okay, but for the same price we had a much superior one at Brys Winery. There are so may good wineries in area. This isnt one we'd recommend.

After a wonderful day of visiting many vineyards and winetasting we wound up at Rove estate winery we did our complimentary wine tasting and looked out on the porch to see a beautiful view and the approaching sunset we asked the waitstaff inside and they instructed us that they're open till 9 o'clock to please go outside and enjoy the view we went outside and waited for over 15 minutes as the waitress attended to a table behind us with nothing more than a long conversation after that long conversation was done she went directly past us and serve the table let it set down on the minutes before hand terribly disappointed with this type of service we decided to leave our evening ruined in the sunset that we thought would be unforgettable is now a distant memory
