About
Yoga in the Vines integrates fresh air, great yoga, and the best wines in northern Michigan. The al fresco practice overlooking our area's pristine bays is followed by wine and incredible views. Our clients say it's the highlight of their summer. Mats provided; no experience necessary. We do lots of privates (bachelorette weekends, family reunions, corporate gatherings), specializing in "never yogis" – people who have never done yoga or say they aren't flexible enough. We also can help even wheelchair-bound yogis get the most out of their experience!

Our whole group was so obsessed with Becky our yoga instructor. She created the perfect experience for us to center, relax and stretch. She has such a calming voice and demeanor. It was so nice that she came right to our air bnb and did yoga right on the lawn overlooking the lake. She brought everything we would need and we were able to easily pay her cash or Venmo. She even brought us a little champagne toast to toast our bride to be. We had a wide variety of skill levels in our group and she curated a class that fit everyone. Highly recommend her. We will be back!!

We went to Traverse City for my cousin's bachelorette party and had Becky come to the house we were renting for our own private yoga session. She was so easy to communicate with and has the sweetest, most laid back personality and such a warm heart- exactly the type of person you want as a yoga instructor! She brought all of the equipment we needed, including some bubbly for a champagne toast after! She also took the time to take several group photos for us and she really did everything she could to make it perfect. It was amazing and I can't recommend Yoga in the Vines enough!

Despite the less than ideal weather my friend and I decided to give Yoga in the Vines a try and I'm so glad we did! I am not a real experienced Yogi and Becky's instuction was easy to follow. I felt so peaceful when I left. It wa a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend giving Yoga in the Vines a try.

My friends and I were so delighted with our yoga experience with Becky- we’re still talking about our class weeks later.
Becky’s style is engaging, affirming, happy and encouraging. My friends and I enjoyed a yoga class with Becky, not knowing what to expect, and we were so thrilled with how she taught us, that we can’t wait to meet up with her again.
If you have the chance to take yoga in the vines with Becky, do it! I feel lucky to have met her and know she will become part of my practice when I’m in TC!

This was a wonderful hour of yoga. It wasn't strenuous and the teacher did a really great job. It was relaxing but got the blood flowing. I had been looking for weekend activities for us to do after our wedding (we got married at Black Star Farms the Friday before and our flowers from the ceremony were still up :) ) and coming back to do yoga two days later made the weekend complete.
I would highly recommend this class and the glass of wine afterwards.

We were in Traverse City as a last minute getaway after many cancelled trips due to Covid. We came across yoga at Mari Vineyard in an online search. I cannot say enough positive things about this morning sunrise yoga session. Becky is a phenomenal instructor and has a way of helping you to release all your stresses. The scenery was beautiful and a relaxing vibe that lasted the rest of our trip. Thank you!! (Rob and Sarah, Washington DC)

We discovered Yoga in the Vines through our favorite studio, Yen Yoga, in Traverse City. Similar to the in-studio instruction, Becky was a highly skilled teacher with deep expertise in anatomy and yoga for all levels. Additionally, both Becky and the Mari Vineyards went above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience. First, we were provided China Gel for soothing our neck muscles, then an incredible hour class overlooking the bay. Becky offered instructions for leveling up--or down--according to our need that day and skill level. Then, she provided lavender-mint infused towels during Savasana and offered to take photos at this stunning vineyard. The staff at Mari Vineyards served mimosas after class and some insights about some of the new releases this fall. We are most excited to return to Mari Vineyards for some wine tasting and shopping.

Becky is an amazing Yoga instructor. Very peaceful in the morning at Mari, the whole hour went by quickly, but we felt like a million bucks when we were done. Then tasted some great wines.

I really enjoyed my yoga in the vines class. It was so nice to add nature to your yoga routine. Becky is an awesome guide that added so much to an already beautiful experience. The wine tasting after class was perfect ending to a beautiful morning!

Becky did a private event for us at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, and we couldn't recommend her more! She tailored the class to our lifestyles, provided some much needed meditation, and guided us through a wonderful journey. If you're looking for a private instructor, Becky is your girl!!!
