We reviewed this Winery two years previously but Wineries can change as the Wines they produce. Two years ago one of the owners was made Sake for the first time. Unfortunately at the time, all was sold. This time we tried the Sake ($22/bottle). I enjoyed it, it had a nutty taste and very smooth. Sake is acquired taste and not everyone would like it. As our usual case we tasted dry white and dry reds. The owner made it more interesting by including small food samples before you tasted the wine and after you had a sample and tasted. Amazing difference which help you understand pairings. These pairings are home made - raspberry pepper , riesling wine infused cheese etc. Overall we were please what we we tried and bought several bottles. They also have different vinegars available also. The owner suggested we go to the cheese shop down the block.

Stopped in again this year on our annual Tecumseh food crawl. As always we walked away with a case full after doing the tasting. Love the new sake. We like sweet wines and they always have many to chose from. Love the plum. Love the fireside. They are becoming too popular as they were out of a few dry ones we would have liked.

We were wine touring this weekend and this was one our final stops, but probably our longest visit! Not only did we sample EVERY wine they offer, which were all excellent!, We spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon taking with the server who was full of stories and great information. She was so friendly and we just had the best visit ever! I

We traveled here for a bridal shower, and even with our large group, they were very friendly and accommodating! They allowed us to do tastings and had wonderful snacks to accompany the wines. The selection was great and a lot of unique tastes. Would definitely visit again if in the area!

If you like wine and are walking the streets here then take a few moments to visit this mid-town winery. That's right... Pentamere wine is made right in the basement level of the store with grapes sourced from Michigan (most if the time if available) and from nearby areas if not (Ontario most recently).

Can't really speak to the quality of the wine yet... just a brief sip of Merlot. Bought a bottle of a top priced ($32) Bordeaux blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc) to try at home along with a dry white wine. The winery also has sweet and semi-sweet wines as well as fruit wines. So an eclectic place. Visit for friendly conversation, tasting, and a view of the down-below wine area. After all, you did not expect a place like this if you came to visit antique stores.

This place was adorable and we were surprised to see that they make the wine right there. Sampling was only 50 cents a piece and the man who was offering them offered great conversation with honest opinions on his wine. He gave us great recommendations on where to eat in the local area and we ended up buying a bottle of wine for $13 for our dinner the next evening. Would definitely go there again.

Did the Pioneer Wine Tour which included 8 Michigan wineries. Pentamere is located in a store on the main street in the business district. There is an open area where you can look down and view the manufacturing area. A nice selection of wines to taste and buy. If in the area stop. Parking in the rear.

After passing through Tecumseh for years, we decided to stop in. We immediately received a friendly welcome. It was a Sunday and not busy at all, so we relaxed and enjoyed tasting the selection of wine. We ended up leaving with two bottles that were very resonably priced. The Plum Wine and The Morning Star.... we won't be passing by anymore! It will be a stop for sure! Thank you for your excellent service, hospitality and delicious wine.

This was our first time here. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. We had our daughter with us. The employee asked her if she would like to find the fairy door to get a surprise (candy). She enjoyed the search. Super nice and knowledgeable staff. Each tasting was paired with a dip/snack. I tried (3) wines, the plum being my favorite. We bought a bottle to ring home. Nice variety and presentation. It was $1.00 per tasting.
