This is a small museum that resides in an old church. It is dedicated to local history, with emphasis on the River Raisin and the Indian that is the town's namesake, Tecumseh. It was an interesting visit, and took some time to get through.

Nice, enjoyed visiting and getting to know a bit about Adrian's past The building is a former Carnigee Library (we have traveled a lot and Have never seen one like this it is huge and very unique.. The docents are friendly and will be glad to talk about the exhibits. They also have visiting exhibits and special locally sponsored exhibits which change. Well worth a visit

Housed in a cobblestone (formerly Catholic) church, the Tecumseh Area Historical Museum houses numerous artifacts from the area. Focuses are placed on wartime periods (Civil War and World War II especially), agricultural and industrial development, and genealogy research. Open on Saturdays and by appointment, the museum is staffed by a hard-working crew that are very passionate toward understanding the past in Tecumseh.

I really liked the display about ant species and early settlements in Tecumseh. The lady was really knowledgeable about the city and gave me a voucher for Howard Hanna realty. Maybe I'll move to Tecumseh sometime. From Embers to Busch's to Tecumseh Inn to my aunt's house this town has a lot going on for it. This is the place to look into all the history.
