An Artisan's Approach... We are dedicated to making wines that reflect the unique character and quality of our vineyard and the vineyards of Michigan. Whether carefully sourcing grapes from top sites in the state or from our own vineyard, our winery was built on the belief that great wines begin in the vineyard. We strive to understand the needs and opportunities presented by each specific terroir. We harvest when the flavors have reached their peak and the tannins are at their softest. In the winery, we apply an artisan's approach to winemaking, using taste and instinct, not formula to build our wines. Wines are barreled in either French oak or American oak depending upon the grape and what might be best for the particular vintage at hand. The commitment to crafting wines of distinction will remain at the heart of Silver Leaf Vineyard's philosophy. As our estate property continues to mature, the winery will continue creating exceptional wines. Our hope is that you'll grow with us. For the full experience spend a few nights in our cabin situated in the vineyard and truly be one with the wine.

Good wine, good entertainment

They had music while you taste wine or drink by the glass. Wine was very good. We ended up purchasing 3 bottles of various wines

We really enjoyed our complementary glasses. Our favorite from the trip. The wines were pretty good. And the owner was very nice. Was very glad we stopped at this one.

The Tasting Room Host was very friendly, eager to help us even though we arrived close to closing time. All wines I tasted were very good. For a small winery, they have a fantastic array to choose from. The art on their labels is simply amazing -- they are the kind of labels that make you want to keep the... More

They are a new winery and seem to be getting their bearings but the tasting we had was still good. The sangria was really good and the owner surprised me by handing me the recipe after our tasting. I think once they get a few seasons under their belt this will be a great winery. It's a beautiful location and... More

My husband and I rented the cottage for a weekend and we found our stay at Silver Leaf relaxing and refreshing. The cabin is cozy and very quiet with all the comforts of home with the exception of a TV (we didn't even miss it) The ground are beautiful with with many places for a picnic . The view of... More

We stopped by not knowing there was a new owner. My favorite wine was not available. Something about the label and change of ownership. Not the same as it was. We will try again to give the new owner another chance.

I am sorry we did not have your favorite wine. Which one is it? We are new owners as of 2015 and we are learning a LOT! One thing we have learned is that anytime a label changes the government must approve it. I am guessing the old owner did that in the dead of winter but alas we did... More

We had never been to Silver Leaf and saw they had a cottage to stay at next to the vineyard, so we booked a long weekend and loved our stay. To top it off the wines great as well. The cottage was very tranquil, especially at night. Favorite wines were the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Definitely a place to visit.

OK wines here, but the staff made our group feel inferior. We won't be back due to the number of nicer and better vineyards in the area. Beautiful place though!

We had not visited in a few years and since we were in the neighborhood we stopped by. Unfortunately the odor of fresh paint almost sent us back out the door. The young man working behind the bar said he was painting barrels. Seemed like an odd concept to us. But then he said they were to be sold as... More

Stopped in for pre-holiday wine tasting and ended up buying one bottle of each white wine. I couldn't pick just one! The Playa Blanca was such a treat - especially since I'm normally not a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, but it has such wonderful flavor. Try the Chafia Cherry - not at all like the usual overly-sweet cherry wines. Owner... More
