Booked a golf trip with 7 other guys in April, Rain in forecast the entire weekend of the trip in June. Drove to course on Friday to play in rain anyway, pro shop sold us all rain gear, sent us out to play 2 holes, then pulled us off and shut course due to “never before conditions”. Went back to condo and tried calling the pro shop, sales office, vacation bookings to explore options for remainder of weekend, no answer. Sun comes out in afternoon, no one there to let us back on course, course was closed. Rain continues the following morning, we were not let out on course again. No breakfast or coffee available in dining area. Course issues a rain check at 40% off the value for each round we lost, we would be out of pocket for difference had we returned. Left Saturday morning, asked for our money back with the exception of the night we stayed. Pro shop said no, sales said no, CEO said no, owners said no. They want to keep the money in hopes we rebook in 2022, impossible to find a weekend…one more Covid shutdown and it’s 2023. Nothing to do in Stanwood, they do not have accommodations to be called a resort, service is poor, management seems clueless as well. Spend the extra money and go to Boyne, Arcadia, even Gull Lake was a better experience. For all the RCI members considering Tullymore St. Ives, pass on it. Maybe drive up and play a course then head home, the course seems ok, but you could probably find something just as nice local to your house. 3 star course, 0 star accommodations.

Normally this course is in great shape. However we played Saturday and it was in absolutely terrible condition. They have been open for well over a month and it looks like the bunkers have not been raked once. Even worse, the greens are very shaggy and uncared for. When we made our tee reservation there was no mention of the poor conditions. After we completed our round I mentioned my disappointment to the clubhouse staff. They were quick to point out that they had given us a 20% discount, and said they were well aware of the conditions since almost everyone who plays ends up complaining about it. I highly recommend you call and press them to tell you what shape the course is in before booking. Otherwise you may be sorry.

I found out I had over $100 and GolfNow credits so I applied that to around here on teeoff.com and my buddy and I scored a deal paying only 38 bucks for two of us believe it or not or $19 each to play a five star Course Tullymore can you believe it

Well we played Monday afternoon July 31, 2023 and the course is nice good shape is Deborah has been. I have played it now about four or five times in the 20 years has been open up. I finally made the right decision to play the combination tees of the blues and whites, which comes out to about 6000 yours has a 65 year old senior score very well it made it much more enjoyable 20 years ago my brother-in-law I was playing off the tips for chosen same with a 150 slope rating. It was brutal.

I have been playing golf in over 50 years and living in Michigan for 32 years and have played Arcadia. I am mountain gray walls And most of the other top-notch courses around the state and this is for sure in the top 10 I don’t know how it’s in the top 100 in the country but conditions are about as good as you’re going to find Western Michigan but I just cannot afford $150 green fees.
So I am glad they are on Golf now to make it affordable. It’s a nice clubhouse and a lot of beautiful, expensive homes but that’s not what I go there for it’s all about the course of the layout and conditioning. I was glad to have brought my friends here to play at one, so he knows what it’s all about and he was pretty excited about it. I just liked the white sand traps. Thankfully I stayed out of them challenging, layout for sure. Make sure you pick the right tees and yardage.

First thing... our 3 day stay was inexpensive but I really have issues with this being sold as a resort. The Inn at St. Ives has a very sterile, hotel feel. The staff were not helpful with questions about golf which is not what I have experienced with other true golf resorts. We had an early morning tee time, staying in their hotel and there was no food, not even coffee available... anywhere. The 2 golf courses are very nice and we paid very little for the room but how hard is it to throw out a pot of coffee and/or boxes of cereal... anything! If you make the trip bring some grub to start your day or go hungry.

A group of us took a 4 day trip here for a couples golf outing. We stayed in a Chalet style building with 4 independent rooms. The accommodations were great with the exception that minor repairs were being taken care of in between stays. That being said the facilities were very clean and orderly. The mattresses needed replacing as did some of the furniture as it was worn being rental unit and its that time to update it, but again it was a very nice facility. The golf courses and grounds were in impeccable condition and we really enjoyed playing both courses. The restaurant and pro shop were accommodating in every way and the food and drink was great. All in all, we would recommend this golf destination to everyone and will return.

My fiance and I sgined up and paid to stay at tullymore at a golf expo in March. We recieved confirmation emails saying we were all set for our anniversary weekend to stay there. We drove almost two hours up there in a awful rain storm. When we arrived to check in they had never even heard of us. They were completely booked. They offered us a hotel 20+ miles away. We would of had to travel that back and forth several times , so we decided not to do that. It was a waste of time and not what we originally paid for. We asked for our money back. They said 6-8 weeks we will get it back. It is now mid September and still nothing!! Bunch of bull crap! The customer service we talk to to get our money back is stupid.
Advice: dont go here. Its a headache!

I sure hope my experience is a rare one, and based upon others experience, it might be. It could be because they had a large group there, but the course, accomodations, everything was overshadowed by the loud and abnoxious group that was staying here and the lack of desire by the staff to do anything.

The palce was clean, the course in very good shape, and, from what I recall, a good course in Michigan to play. But the course either overbooked the course or has no clue how to space people. Our first round of the day took 5.5 hours. We complained to the Ranger, even calling the club house while we were out there. Waited on every shot for the goup in front of us. So long that we were late to the next round. Here's the worst part, We were playing the sister course and they would not let us on the course 'because we were late.' We explained the situation and the guy actually said, "well that's not our fault!" The gall!!! It absolutely was your fault.

So, we missed the round but were able to play 10 holes at twilight. That night, had to be that large group, we had trouble falling asleep as they were in the parking lot yelling and drinking. Called the front desk and was asked, "what do you want us to do?" We left the next morning for another 2 rounds and saw the debris field left from the parties.

That days play was a repeat of the previous. Horrible.

Now, I understand reluctancy to say something to a large paying group, but this really was oever the top rudeness and lack of common sense and customer service by the staff.

Group outing to Tullymore - the setting was pretty, but the golf courses only meet expectations for what is considered a good golf course. There is nothing spectacular our amazing.

The waitstaff in the restaurant was terrible - took over 30 minutes to locate the 1 guy in the whole place who had a key to the wine locker. Then the server brought out a different (inferior) vintage than what was on the menu.

The lodging was adequate. Meets the minimums, again nothing to get excited about.

This resort has a long way to go if they want to compete with the true first class resorts out there.

I was excited to play the course based on other reviews. The staff in the proshop were lukewarm at best. The starter was great, welcomed my wife and I to the course and explained what we had ahead of us.

The course was in good shape but really did not contain any outstanding golf holes. No real views to take in while playing. Greens were fair, not very tough to read or putt.

Play was slow, but that was expected as we were playing a twosome. There were four groups ahead of us playing a scramble and they were taking their time. Again not a problem, until the ranger (no one could call this guy a players assistant) waited until I was out of the cart away from my wife to come and tell her that she needed to pick up her pace of play! We had waited on every hole and he waited to tell the only woman on the course that SHE needed to pick it up!

Not once did anyone come speak with us on the prior 13 holes explaining that they knew the groups in front of us were slow and that they were trying to move them along. In fact I spoke with the groups in front of us (all men) and they indicated that the ranger did not speak with them once all day.

I spoke with the head pro at the conclusion of the round and he apologized, but I did not get the impression he would be doing anything to address the situation.
