Wow! Was given the king suite without asking and it was NICE! 2 bathrooms, master bedroom and ante-room with microwave and fridge and lots of seating and fold out bed. Huge walk-in closet. Very large and all brand new. Pillows and bedding very comfortable but need seemed too hard and crowned meaning I felt I would roll off if I fell asleep, so I slept on couch. No room service, no tub or jacuzzi, no balcony nor views from the many windows except of fields or parking lots. Decor was vivid vibrant American Indian attire and such. No disappointment here just awe. Of all the casino hotels we've visited this is the tops, believe me.
Casino u.s in 2 parts: old, with older slots and a few new ones, and the new adjoined with the hotel which had newer slots. Make no mistake, noone walks away a winner. Period. The casino is the downside. Too tight, ridiculously tight. Want to make money go to Detroit or soaring eagle, Saganing's sister casino in mt. Pleasant.
2 new restaurants offer small menus with high prices while the old dinner counter has sandwiches and pizza, e.t.c at better costs.
Be forewarned that Indian casinos are not regulated by state and therefore can actually deny a high payout with out recourse, claiming malfunctioning machine voids such. I've heard this too many times for it to not be true.
The one big hang up I have with this casino in particular is they do not have the proper sized ventilation system to exchange and circulate cigarette smoke... it just hangs in a haze all about you. It's really bad.

My wife & I had a fun night & found the machines looser than Soaring Eagle! We were shocked to see how crowded it was in the middle of the week and were glad that we were both vaccinated. We ate @ the Landing and felt sorry for the one waitress that did a great job considering she looked all alone. Wife had sandwich which was very good, I had the the sirloin steak dinner that I would not recommend. We both held our own and had several "good hits". We noticed many other patrons also winning on this particular night. The hotel was new & very clean but prefer the rooms @ Soaring Eagle. I prefer staying @ Soaring Eagle because of the table games but overall we really enjoyed our 6 hours in the casino & will be back soon!

One reason we quit going to Vegas and decided to focus on Michigan casinos is they are NON-SMOKING!!! Best decision ever. A negative is the beds were so hard we could not sleep! Pillows were too big and fat-hurt and our necks. We will only do day trips from now on. Seems like the last year the food has gone downhill but the food at the Landing was pretty good this time; try the sampler platter. Drinks there were good pours too. The sweatshirt at the giftshop was about $60 but so worth it. I used one for a Christmas gift and it was a huge hit! The sales clerk said I didn't need to swipe my player's card as I wouldn't get points for purchasing them, but I looked it up later and I think she should have swiped my card, as I think you get players points anytime you spend money at the property. The High Roller Wheel of Fortune machines were hot hot hot! Saw someone hit on an .80 bet a few times.

Hello couponshopper,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Saganing Eagles Landing Casino and Hotel! That sounds like such a fun and exciting experience! It's always great when you find a sweatshirt that not only looks good but is also worth the price. And it's even better when the gift you gave for Christmas turned out to be a huge hit. As for the High Roller Wheel of Fortune machines, it must have been quite thrilling to witness someone hitting on just a .80 bet multiple times! It sounds like you had an amazing time at the gift shop and casino. Sorry to hear about the points in the gift shop. If you would like to contact me at Jmerren@sagchip.org I can do my best to get you into contact with someone about receiving those points for that purchase. I'm sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience with the beds and pillows during your stay. Your feedback regarding the hardness of the beds and size of the pillows has been duly noted, and we apologize for any discomfort caused.
Warm regards,

From inattentive waitresses to inept management this place is terrible. It all started when we ordered 3 appetizers which totaled over 30 dollars and then also asked for 2 side salads but they do not let you get a side salad unless you order an entree even though the side salad is an option on the menu. 2 regular prices items is less than the cost of three appetizers. So we were forbidden from the almighty side salad. The waitress continued to not pay attention to the table and even didn’t clear the plates we nicely stacked for her. She also forgot the ranch and seemed to be upset we were even here. The management did noting and this is only half capacity. Then we had to flag down the manager just to get a doggy bag and our check. She took check and card and then went and took others orders and we waiting another 8 minutes. While we waited we cleaned up the table. And still waiting on our check. I have never felt so unwelcome at a place my entire life. Boo to this place.

Well, would love to review the great food. But had the worst service (KayLee). After 20 minutes and watching her serve a lady who just sat down, we asked for are server. After another five minutes we received less than average service. I definitely recommend the landing restaurant when they say your server Kaylee will be right with you ask to sit in a different section it’ll be worth the wait

Just got back from a free comped Bay-View King room at Saganing. I have not been to this casino since before the hotel had opened and I never cared for the place before, it always seem crowded and the smoke was unbearable.
I have a great impression now, is this the same place? The hotel is beautiful, much nicer that Soaring Eagle. Would I pay extra for the bayview room? No, it is quite away from the resort property and over the tree line, I would probably prefer the other side because I assume it is quieter.
The new casino addition is very nice along with The Landing and Creekside dining. I could still smell the smoke residue in the old casino area but nowhere to the point you have to throw your clothes away!
I actually had good luck here and hit a handpay, and I seen others winning also. Would I recommend this place? Yes, as long as non-smoking is in place.
The Covid-19 precautions are good here, using infrared temp scans at entrances and Purell sanitizers everywhere. I felt relatively safe except for the few idiots that seem they are immune to everything and do not wear masks in the room areas.

Myself and my 19 yr old daughter went twice over the weekend. The entire place is smoke-free, which is awesome! We didn't have to worry about stinking when we left. I wish all casinos were smoke-free! My daughter got carded our second visit upon entering but not the first time. They take your temp as you walk in the door (without even realizing it). It's all very subtle. Everyone must wear a mask. They follow that protocol very clearly and will remind you if you don't. The restaurant they have is pricey and not the best food. The mozzerella sticks were mush inside instead of a stick and the onion rings had a weird batter. The only thing good on the combo plate was the mushrooms. I'm pretty sure I ate a cauliflower in there too, which wasn't supposed to be in there. The waitress was very polite but the food could've been better. We did not eat at the cafe area in the other section. Had we seen that place first, we would've ate there instead of the big restaurant. We had fun at the casino and would recommend it if you like slots. If you like table games, there aren't many and they are digital, not live.

Took $200 of coin for the coin drive and only got $10 in free play whereas Soaring Eagle gives you $10 in free play for each $50 you bring in. Won't be back to Saganing any time soon.

We went to the Casino on Christmas Day this year 2023. I had called ahead to make sue they would be open and to also see if they would be serving dinner and when I spoke to the Landing restaurant, I was assured it would be open.
We decided it was time to eat and entered only to be told there would be about a 20 to 25 minutes wait. I was stunned as there were only about 8 tables in use when the girl informed me, she was sorry for the wait, but they had only staffed her with 2 servers! We gave our name and were handed a beeper of some sort. We watched as others entered and encountered the same. After 40 minutes we were beeped and seated. We decided to go with the special, which was pork loin, carrots, Brussel sprouts with a glaze. The sign said soup also but our waitress did not ask nor offer so when she brought out our food I was just about to ask when a gentleman ( who looked like he could have been a floor mgr) walked up to her and told her his mom was being seated and she wanted our waitress to wait on her and off our waitress went so the question of soup was placed on hold for the moment. I then decided to at least start to eat when boom I could hardly cut through the pork. I put a piece in my mouth, and it was like chewing on my husband's leather belt!! The carrots were hard and the Brussels crunchy and the potatoes were not cooked as they had hard lumps. This pork had to have been sitting under some kind of heat lamp with no protection or cover and it was awful. Everything was. I finally got our waitress again and did not even bother with the soup and asked for a mgr who was very kind but I found she too was short staffed. This mgr. who set this up needs to learn how to manage. You always over book as you can send home but you never underbook especially on a Holiday! I had never eaten there before and I never will again. Then on top of this both my husband and I got very ill with an intestinal issue which has continued yet today! It is so not worth it and the food was lousy! I called to speak to the manager and was met with voice mail and left my name and number and the reason I was calling and they have not even had the courtesy to return my call.

My spouse and I decided to check out this casino/hotel and stay overnight, for one night, in September 2021. We're not huge gamblers but we do enjoy going to casinos from to time and playing the slot machines (not that we expect to win much at all).
All in all, we really enjoyed our experience. The hotel was very nice, we appreciated the hot tub in the pool area, and we had fun during the short amount of time we spent gambling. Our room was on the 4th floor, and we could see part of Saginaw Bay from our room. Plus, we enjoyed having a couple drinks at the bar in the casino. We got a stay-and-play package that worked out well for us, and so we had two meals at The Landing... dinner and breakfast. Both meals were quite good.
One thing we appreciated was that the casino was smoke-free. We fully expected to be greeted with the wafting smell of cigarette smoke, but we were pleasantly surprised that there was no smoking on the gaming floor. Thank you!
It was the first time we'd had a casino/hotel experience, and we loved it. It was a lot of fun, and we might consider returning to this particular casino/hotel. It was a nice resort in the middle of nowhere!
