The museum has a great group of dedicated volunteers. They have put together a good representation of Sault Ste Marie, MI. I would encourage to put it on your "Must See" list if visiting Sault Ste. Marie.

This museum is not extensive, but it is informative. It will only take between one and two hours to review. There are many interesting displays as well as information on the native americans who originally occupied the region, the European explorers. and more recent settlers.

The museum is small but provides history on the Sault Ste. Marie area. Great learning museum. The museum is small but contains a good deal of historical information. Consider buying a multiple attraction ticket if you are also visiting the Ship Valley Camp.

This is a very worthwhile exhibit with photos, paintings and articles from Sault Sainte Marie's historical past. Along with the museum exhibits, there is a very nice gift shop with many items to tempt the visitor.
