Wonderful college visit
Nov 2021
We went for a college visit. The campus is updated and attractive, and pretty compact, limiting walking distance. The history as a former WWII military base and the buildings converted to University usage is interesting. The university is nicely located on a hill overlooking the river, locks, and international bridge.
The staff and tour personnel are VERY friendly.

College Tour

We drove 4.5 hours for a tour and were pleasantly surprised how much we liked the campus. Being a prior military base gave it some cool history and a small town feel. The buildings are updated, staff and students seem friendly and they offer a TON of student activities. Our daughter isn’t decided where she will go next year, but LSSU is definitely on the list!

Pretty Campus, Small University
Mar 2018
Nice small campus.

My Nephews attend classes at LSSU. The campus is small, very pretty and located just a couple mile from the Sault locks.

Great Small University
Jul 2017 • Friends
If you have a potential college student consider Lake Superior State University. Class sizes are small, excellent access to professors and if you enjoy winter you will love it.
They have a WCHA hockey team, basketball (women’s and men’s) track and women’s softball.

Gorgeous campus!
Aug 2017 • Family
We took our kids for a visit here. It is a really gorgeous campus that is nicely tight knit. Everything is walking distance and the view out to the water and the canadian bridge was amazing. I'm sure it gets quite chilly in winter but snow activities can be real fun too! Oh yeah, and studying too. :)

LSSU STEM Camp
Jul 2016 • Family
My teens attended an LSSU STEM Camp and it was terrific! The campus is small and easy to navigate. The library was open for to the public. I camped at a local campground while my children were here and I would visit the LSSU library to work on my personal stuff and my business stuff, even though my kids were in a camp and I couldn't see them. It was very convenient for all of us. Nice, quiet atmosphere (granted, this was in July when many students were not there).
