A short walk from the chain ferry, you can take the 302 steps to the top. The steps are in good shape and there are places you can stop and rest if needed. If you are used to stairs, it’s not that bad. Once you...More

A long stair climb with great views during rests and even better from the top. I recommend running down the other side to Oval Beach. Warning: Dogs are no longer allowed (I have a picture of my grandmother at the top with her 2 dogs...More

We went here to see the view at the top of the stairs. The stairs are steep but shaded. The are benches every couple flights of stairs. The view at the top is nice but partially obstructed. We did not go down the sand dune....More

This is a tough but fun hike. Worth doing once, but not a lot to keep coming back for. You park at the bottom of the stairs where there is grass, benches, and bathrooms. Then you start straight up for about 15+ flights of stairs....More

This is a fun little walk with great views at the top. Parking is an issue, so either park on the other side of the river or be prepared to get creative.

Leading right from the parking lot, a stairway climbs straight to the top. There are a few platforms along the way where you can stop and catch your breath if necessary. It’s well worth the climb, because the views from the top are beautiful. You...More

The trek to the top of this attraction gives you a great look across the lake. It takes a reasonably fit person putting out a little effort or a very determined slug to make it to the top. You will find sandals are acceptable for...More

302 steps up the stairs, then you can run down the dune to the beach and walk back around. Fun little hike! We took The Chain Ferry across the Kalamazoo River, fun short ride, our grandkids got to take turns cranking us across the river.

302 stairs to the top of a dune lookout over the Kalamazoo river with splendid views! It took us about 5 minutes to climb as we are pretty fit; anyone else might take 10 or more minutes. With each flight there are benches to rest...More

we're working on some new Mt. Baldhead designs at Landsharks this summer. We've sold several in the past - not exactly "I climbed Mt Bladhead" but some great designs.
