I go to this beach one day out of the weekends through the summer. Even when it is packed the people there are considerate of each others space. Good for Friends, Family, Fun or relaxation...

It was raining but they wanted to go anyway. I’m glad we did. It is a 2 hour drive from where we live and worth it. It has a ten dollar entrance fee. It was still raining when we arrived but they went in the...More

Small beach with dunes. We enjoyed the solitude but beach had quite a bit of grasses. Water was cold but clear. Nice dune style beach.

We loved this beach. Entry was $10 for the day. The parking, concessions, restrooms and showers are all very close to the beach. The water is shallow so it is warmer and good for kids.

We climbed Mount Baldhead, ran down the other side of the dune and walked across the parking lot to the view of this beautifully groomed beach. (Tip - dress light as you will get some cardio!) The edges of the shore wrap around which creates...More

I was expecting more from this highly rated beach. Lots of parking and did like the boardwalk to the beach. We thought the beach at Indiana Dunes was much nicer.

Oval Beach on Lake Michigan is a pleasant surprise for this ocean-goer. The sand is white and plentiful. The water is clear, but cold. There was quite a bit of algae today. It costs $10/day for access per vehicle. Come early and return late for...More

Beautiful, clean, soft sand beach. Bath house and picnic tables. Arrive early to guarantee you get in, otherwise a long line can form.

i don't recall seeing any signage that said they weren't, but i wasn't looking for that kind of information. i imagine you can check the beach website or call the local forestry to gain some guidance. good luck!

I didn’t see anyone doing this and don’t know. I don’t recall any signs either. You should call the city of Saugatuck or Douglas, they would know. I wish I could be of more help.

Yes actually. There is a wooden walkway at the North End of the beach that goes all the way to the Shoreline.
