Was curious what is a whistling garden. We are thinking might be the birds This is a private garden and there is an entrance fee. A cornfield landscape into a garden, is amazing. It is a well plan out area, break up into few sections. I believe the main attraction were the peonies. But July is late to see them. They mention of seeing Egyptian geese and swans. We only saw few Egyptian geese. Beautiful trees and shrubs. We saw few strangling lilies and other flowers. They are many shady area with benches. It was not crowed at the time of my visit. The garden has a musical water fountain, which display few times a day. It was the high light for the visit. They also have a small aviary. The garden has a small picnic area and garden store. It host events and they were 3 weddings on my visit. Quite a beautiful place for events especially with the garden. I enjoyed my visit very much.

The healthiest place, beautiful, peaceful, to spend enjoyable, educational, time.
The sensory experience is enhanced by having the top of natural beauty (garden collections) and top of technology (fountain night shows) at one place.
I went monthly and will return before the end of the season!

I highly recommend a trip to Whistling Gardens. I was there during peony season and it was stunning. There are so many varieties! We didn't take a picnic lunch but I think it would be a great idea. There are lots of places to sit down and relax. We saw the fountain show and it was beautiful too.

Tranquil and beautiful flowers and trees and shrubs. A wonderful fountain show set to amazing music. A definite return to view the nighttime fountain show one day. I was with my sister and we both enjoyed it. My sister remembered working for the farmer who owned the land years ago as a teenager. It’s beautiful to see what it has turned into.

For those of you who are enthralled by the beauty of nature, add Whistling Gardens to your must see list. As gardeners, friends and I have made an annual trek there for the last 3 years and are amazed at how beautifully this garden is evolving. The variety of trees is particularly impressive with literally thousands of species artistically grouped with water features, shrubs and perennials. A walk through this paradise is not only relaxing and enjoyable, it is also inspirational. The bonus of being able to purchase, for a reasonable price, dwarf conifers or Japanese maples unavailable from any other retailer in Canada is the icing on the cake.

I live in the area of Wilsonville and often noticed signs for the Whistling Gardens. I put off going because I didn't think it would be much. But my wife convinced me we should go and on Sunday we took a drive out. What a lovely surprise. In 2003 the owners took an old farm field and created a beautiful botanical gardens. I found a mixture of various conifer and deciduous trees, perennials, shrubs and even cactus. Yes, cactus growing in Southern Ontario. If you are curious about a plant they're all labeled. It took us about 2 hours to go through the whole garden. I would quickly recommend this attraction. I'm sure no matter what time of the growing season you go it would be special.
