Beautiful during peony season
May 2021
I highly recommend a trip to Whistling Gardens. I was there during peony season and it was stunning. There are so many varieties! We didn't take a picnic lunch but I think it would be a great idea. There are lots of places to sit down and relax. We saw the fountain show and it was beautiful too.

Surprise musical water fountain
Jul 2021
Was curious what is a whistling garden. We are thinking might be the birds This is a private garden and there is an entrance fee. A cornfield landscape into a garden, is amazing. It is a well plan out area, break up into few sections. I believe the main attraction were the peonies. But July is late to see them. They mention of seeing Egyptian geese and swans. We only saw few Egyptian geese. Beautiful trees and shrubs. We saw few strangling lilies and other flowers. They are many shady area with benches. It was not crowed at the time of my visit. The garden has a musical water fountain, which display few times a day. It was the high light for the visit. They also have a small aviary. The garden has a small picnic area and garden store. It host events and they were 3 weddings on my visit. Quite a beautiful place for events especially with the garden. I enjoyed my visit very much.

Magical Treat! Totally Unexpected! This is a must-see for gardeners and non-gardeners alike! It's the dream of one man, despite all odds. Designers and engineers and small business people will also be interested!

Lovely Spot
Sep 2019
Enjoyed our walk through the gardens even though it was close to the end of the season. The amount of work that has been done to transfer a field into beautiful gardens is impressive. We plan to come back next spring to see the peonies in bloom and the fountain operating. Enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

Lovely time
Jun 2019 • Friends
Beautiful gardens, I had no idea there were so many different kinds of peonies. We went the first week of June, and there were several in bloom, but had we waited another week or 2 I think it would have been better as lots were buds that were close to opening
Pond area with the swans is beautiful! We wanted to see the fountain show, but missed it as we never saw the times posted, would have been nice if we were told about it right when we came in or if it was more easily found

What a great surprise
Aug 2019
I live in the area of Wilsonville and often noticed signs for the Whistling Gardens. I put off going because I didn't think it would be much. But my wife convinced me we should go and on Sunday we took a drive out. What a lovely surprise. In 2003 the owners took an old farm field and created a beautiful botanical gardens. I found a mixture of various conifer and deciduous trees, perennials, shrubs and even cactus. Yes, cactus growing in Southern Ontario. If you are curious about a plant they're all labeled. It took us about 2 hours to go through the whole garden. I would quickly recommend this attraction. I'm sure no matter what time of the growing season you go it would be special.

Nice relaxing place.
Aug 2019 • Family
Even the drive there was nice, beautiful gardens nested in the middle of farms, the owner is very helpful and welcoming, the fountain show was nice the aviary was nice, will come back next year in mid june to see the blooming, the only reason i took away one star was the washrooms, they are clean but portables, proper ones will make those gardens excellent.

Lovely grounds
Jul 2019 • Friends
It is a lovely garden. I like that most of the plants have names on them so you can find out what they are. There is a show that happens two times a day, we didn't know about it so we just missed it. There were some flowers in bloom, but end of july is not the peak time to go. They have a peony garden which would be excellent to see when it is in bloom. There wasn't a lot of shade on the walking paths so sunscreen and hat are a good idea.

My favorite Botanical Garden and Arboretum
Jun 2019 • Solo
A friend told me how wonderful these gardens are, especially early spring when flowering trees are in bloom and the Peonies are blooming. It has the best display of Peonies I've ever seen, followed by Lilies and other flowers through the seasons. Their extensive collection of trees, some of which I've never seen before are awesome! The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and has put in an incredible amount of work at this place in such a short amount of years. A photographers delight with so many flowers to photograph. Highly recommended!

Lazy Spring and Summer Visit
Jun 2019 • Friends
We visited on a bus tour and were greeted by the owner who led us on a narrated tour of the most extensive landscaped garden paths I have seen. This is a lovely pace to stroll through thousands of varieties of plants and bushes. A water show under continuous development provides an entertaining time.
