The Lighthouse in St. Joe is a staple in the area and a must see. Being a local and growing up on this area, I've loved this site from my teens, college years and now into parenthood. The walk from Silver Beach to the lighthouse...More

An interesting point about the two light houses on the North Pier is that they are the only ones on the Great Lakes of that design, when ships and boats are coming into St. Joseph they line up the two Light Houses like looking down...More

We went on a windy, cool day in October while the waves were splashing. Made for a fabulous photo-op. Highly recommend seeing even if not on a lighthouse tour of the state. The beach is easily accessible and comfortable walking. This was my favorite lighthouse...More

We went in Dec and it was super cold, so we didn't stay outside too long. It is a very cool lighthouse that I would like to see more of.

This would be cool to see no matter what season it is. We came the first of Dec. and it was a nice day. It was colder and windier on the beach. Got some cool lighthouse pics!

One of the reasons we chose St. Joe was to be near the lake, and the lighthouse is a plus. We were there in November and so braved cold, snow, and wind to go out on the pier, but it was worth the wet feet...More

Beautiful beach and beautiful light house. Great for a romantic stroll or let the kids run. Watch the weather as beach wind can become fierce!

This location is always so beautiful. The beach is great and lots to see. My grandkids spent time chasing the 1,000 seagulls around.

I am not aware of any ticket purchase requirement. You can walk to it on the pier.

St. Joseph is very dog friendly. In fact, many shops have water bowls outside for your dogs to drink from and several stores even let you bring your furry friends inside. There's a great little store called Fuzzy Butts, I... More
