The St. Joseph lighthouse is located on the north side of the channel. There is a public access beach and people can walk out on the pier. An insider tip is to go to the south pier, as you can get a good picture with the lighthouse in the background. The lighthouse is five minutes from the St Joe Freedom Boat Club.

St Joe makes my heart happy and these lighthouses are part of that reason. Like sailors coming home back in the day, these lighthouses signal home for me. Fee to go up in the lighthouse - which is only open on weekends.

Easy to walk out to visit. Parking is limited and for a fee at the beach nearby. Dress warmer as Lake temperatures can be 10 degrees colder than you expect even on warm days.

A beautiful spot to watch the sunset in the evenings. The lighthouse is well maintained and nicely painted. The first portion of the pier seems to be newer and and is quite level, the second portion is older, worn and quite a bit more narrow. Details on parking can be found in the Tiscornia Park reviews.

The big lighthouse on the pier provides great pictures especially on sunny days. Because of knee issues, I wasn't about to walk all the way out to the light itself, so I stopped at the barrier, because beyond that the waves make the rocks slippery. I got some great pictures to add to my lighthouse photo collection. I parked in Tiscornia Park, but missed the parking fee sign and also the kiosk. Be careful, they ticket you.
