My husband and I finally got to cross over the Mackinac Bridge into the Upper Peninsula during our most recent visit to Michigan. The bridge is an amazing architectural feat and it was such a cool experience to travel across all 5 miles of it. After crossing the bridge and pulling away from the toll booth, you'll see a sign for a Bridge Viewing Spot. If you follow the signs, they will lead you to Bridge View Park. It's a great spot to view the Mackinac Bridge and take pictures. There's a little information center with restrooms, as well as a history of the inception and building of the bridge. Worth a look-see!!!

The view of the bridge was spectacular!! Very peaceful with lots of places to sit and just unwind ! The sea gulls were singing the songs of the strait.

If a breathtaking view of the Mackinac Bridge is something that you’re looking for this is the place to go! No matter what the weather is the view is amazing. Nice area to just take in the up north Michigan breezes and have a feeling of calmness come over you. A favorite spot when ever we go to the bridge. A must do for sure!

Beautiful park with lots of nice landscaping and flowers. Plenty of benches to sit and relax on. Walk down by the water and get your feet wet. Most of all, best picture spot for photos of the bridge. Make sure to stop here.

Right by the bridge on the St. Ignace side. You can see the bridge from all over and it is, after all, a bridge, but the view from here is quite nice and the park is a nice place to hang. Water access for a little bit of swimming. A visitor center with nice bathrooms and an historical presentation for reading. LOVE the tile floor in the visitor center with the map of the Great Lakes laid in tile.

Bridge View Park is our favorite spot to view the Bridge, and we see it from a lot of places!! It's very easy to get in and out of, has plenty of parking, and has a nice indoor bathroom facility. It also has telescopes to view the bridge more closely. Bridge View Park is a great place to see the bridge, in the daytime, or when it's lit up at night.

You can park here and view the bridge lit up at night from your car. Really good if it is cold at night

There are no grills in Bridge View Park however there is a roadside park a couple of miles to the west which has grills and picnic tables and also overlooks Lake Michigan and the bridge.

Does anyone know if you can have your wedding ceremony at this park? If so do they allow chair set up and is there a fee? Thanks
Written January 7, 2016
To best answer I suggest you contact the park authority. They may allow weddings but not chair sets. It would be ashame if you make plans for something more than can be answered.
Google the park and find the contact information.
