Mackinac Bridge History Cruise

45 reviews
View one of the world's largest suspension bridges from a unique vantage point on a boat tour from Mackinac Island. The short cruise covers more than 100 years of history through illumining live narration on Native American folklore, local shipwrecks, and the history of the 5-mile bridge. Along the way, pass by famous landmarks including Old Mackinac Point Light and Fort Michilimackinac.

This info is incorrect-the boardwalk does NOT give views of Lake SUPERIOR-it is on LAKE HURON-that's why it's called the Huron Boardwalk-DUH. I tried to edit the information but could not so put the correct info here! And looking at any of our great lakes is always a good idea!

The Boardwalk is fairly short and straight...it appears to be well maintained. There are a few amenities (some benches and a water spout). The walk ends at the lighthouse (which wasn't open) Overall worth a little time to walk it.

Actually NOT maintained. Overgrown weeds, broken and cracked boards, missing sections of handholds. Most of it is ugly and not enjoyable. Near the lighthouse is okay.

The boardwalk is needing some repair, but while we were there it was being worked on. It had great views and history along the way.

Gorgeous area. There's a small swimming beach that looked like it would have been fun, but we didn't have suits with us. A few restaurants across the street.
