Hoping you fixed management
May 2019 • Solo
Last time I’ve been here was August 2017 so it was awhile ago, but management was awful. Hope you fixed management since I’ve last been here. I heard a manager call one of his employees “stupid” at the kitchen register. I personally know people who used to work here and their experiences with management are downright ridiculous. Go-Kart boys could sit in the garage where there was shade and wind while the others were sitting in the sun in 105 degree weather. When no customers were outside, they would go sit in the shade in the go-kart area, but were yelled at by managers. Apparently one girl was sent home because of it. Fix the umbrellas and provide proper equipment. According to previous employees, there was only one manager that brought out cool towels for the them and would help out if it got busy. The other ones would sit in the AC and take Tickets. Oh and the best story I’ve heard yet is the name-calling manager would always sit in the back room snap chatting and playing on his phone while they were understaffed, but proceeded to yell at the kids when they were behind. Never jumping in to help. Hoping things have changed

So it looks like you were fired in August of 2017 and decided to get even now.

Fun. Costly. Did I mention...Costly!
Sep 2018 • Family
Got there around 4:45pm Saturday in September. Purchase the family plan for about $104 which gives you $45 in arcade credits + 10 activities which include the roller coaster the bungee jumping in the water bumper boats the go-karts and the pitching cages and the putt putt golf. Also included is two large pizzas with 2 toppings and two pictures of Pop which was perfect for my family which included my wife and my two children who are 10 and 11. We decided to do the outside activities first. It wasn't that crowded and there wasn't many staff working. So if you wanted to ride the water bumper boats a a crowd would have to form at that activity before a staff would come over to open it up. So there was a lot of waiting for different rides. My observation is that the place is obviously ran by high school and college kids which is fine of course but they need to manage it a little better on the availability of the rides and activities. We called before we went there and asked if all the rides are open and they did say they were and they were although you had to wait for a staff to come over to the ride and open it up for the people. The pizzas were very good but the service was very slow. Some tables were not cleaned off but after a while cleaners and came by and wiped them down. A few of the games are in excess of a dollar to play. They give you a plastic loaded card with credits and you swipe it at the game terminal and it will take your money off the card and let you know how much is left. Tickets are also loaded onto the card as well so when you check out make sure you keep your cards. The activities and rides are also loaded on the card as well. Be careful as some games will take your money and don't work just report it to the staff. All in all a commercial amusement park that has a limited assortment of games. Play to win tickets to cash them in cheap toys. It has a limited assortment outside activities but the wait for many of them was way too long.

Something to do on a Saturday
Aug 2018 • Family
I went yesterday (08/11/17) with my two children (15 & 12), our friend and her 4 year old daughter. We bought a package that allowed everyone to pick two things to do, had two large two topping pizzas, two pitchers of pop and $45 for the arcade.

Everyone played putt putt golf and had fun. There were a few holes on the course that had been altered or the putting mats were in need of repair but it wasn’t anything that ruined our fun, it was just annoying.

After our golf we went inside to order our pizzas and played our arcade credit while we waited. The kids had a good time on the games. There wasn’t a lot for the 4 year old to do but she still had fun. Once our food was ready, we sat down to eat. The pizza was pretty good. It was hot and fresh.

Once our lunch was finished, we headed back outside to finish using our attraction card. Three went on the bumper boats and two on the go-karts. Each group had fun and laughed a lot.

To finish out our day we went back inside to the counter and redeemed our tickets. This took a bit as the kids had to chose what they wanted. The girl at the counter was polite and helpful.

Overall, we had fun. The staff we encountered were polite and helpful. It was a little pricey and not something we’d do every weekend but we did have a good time.

Family fun park - for the locals
Sep 2017
Stop for a couple quick hours of fun while traveling through the area. They've got the standard small fun park options - arcade, go karts, mini golf, small coaster, batting cages. Bit pricey for what it is but have to stay in business somehow. If you can't go to a bigger amusement park this will satisfy your need for a little recreation with the family.

Very disappointing and very expensive
Aug 2017 • Friends
Friends and I first visited this place over five years ago when we found out Kokomos had purchased the Serpent coaster (a Galaxi coaster ride) from one of our defunct parks in Ohio. Checking online for the pricing, one coaster ride was astronomical, but since we were going to be in the area, we decided to pay for the one ride to experience memories from its original park. When we got here, management had a wristband deal for riding the coaster that was NOT online. It saved us tons of money. We went with that option and had a great time.

Fast forward to August, 2017. We decided to make the repeat trip from five years ago. Still no mention of the wristband deal online, but we weren't worried about that since it was not mentioned five years ago. We SHOULD have called.

Upon arriving at the place, we noticed it was not very busy, even on a Saturday. The coaster had no cars running on the track. We asked at the desk where tickets are purchased if it was operating. We were told yes. I asked about the wristband deal. The worker said, "We don't do that anymore!! There are your options!" Wow, bad attitude to have. One ride on the coaster is $6.50. Too high. There is a "deal" that says three, four, or five attractions. That only means you can do the same thing that number of times OR do that number of attractions ONE time. It does not mean multiple times. What a rip off.

I know this is a business, and they must make money to stay open. But this is clearly too much. No wonder there weren't people riding the coaster. Who wants to pay $6.50 for ONE ride??!! Rather, management would pay workers to sit there doing nothing waiting for riders than to offer a wristband that would ensure more ridership. I know that the more times the coaster cars go around the track, the more wear and tear is on them. I get it. But it isn't that much wear and tear.

The prices for everything, including the arcade games, seemed to be very HIGH. My suggestion would be to pack a cooler with a picnic lunch, get in your car, drive to an actual amusement park, and spend the money there. If you wish to ride multiple times on rides, it will save you money in the long run. You will likely have a better time.

Management, if you are reading this, you NEED to offer the wristband option again. It will bring in more business. As it stands, I shared this experience online (Facebook, etc.), and most people thanked me for letting them know NOT to make a trek to your place since they are not willing to shell out $65.00 to ride the coaster ten times. Bad decision on your part. No wonder your business seemed slower on this visit. Very disappointing. Until you offer a wristband, I will not be coming back. I will also be advertising this decision to others.....

Our nearest competitor, CJ Barrymore's, charges $7.00 for their roller coaster ride. All of our prices are competitive within our industry. Our Any 3, Any 4 and Any 5 Attraction Specials reduces the price for multiple rides. The Any 5 Special reduces the price to $5.39 per ride. An Unlimited Attraction Pass that is mentioned in the review may work at a park like Cedar Point, where you stand in lines for hours, but did not work at our park where some people would ride the gokarts 50 times in one day.

GROUPON SCAM
Jul 2017
DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR THE VERY SMALL ARCADE. NOT GOOD FOR RIDES OR FOOD.

KOKOMOS HAS A VERY MISSLEADING GROUPON. THEY SHOULD TELL PPL THAT IT IS ONLY FOR THE TINY ARCADE.

The arcade is 90% ticket games. So if your one of those who put $50 worth of real money in to win a $2 stuffed animal, it is going to be very hard to spend the $50 in JUST the arcade.

Very disappointed as the place is fun just wish it wasn't such a scam with the Groupon. Would like to return but probably never will.

Our arcade has 75 games. It's the largest in the area. The Groupon Ad is described as "Arcade Fun". It is not a scam. It is the largest discount we offer.

A Renaissance Needs to Occur in the Arcade
Jun 2017 • Friends
I came here on June 10th, 2017... I was very disappointed. Normally I would come here to this arcade establishment and have a grand time... but this was not the case. Before I start I would like to say this male employee, I do not know his name... was very good! He was very nice and helped us get our putters. But back to the arcade... it was not as amazing as remembered. First of all, they transitioned from coins to cards, which can be nice if they make the prices okay. This is not the case here. Prices were not nice and even in that some games were about 52-53 cents when others would be 47-48 cents. Why would they not make the prices just 50 cents??? It is a ploy to surely scam kids, if a kid has one dollar on it, they may believe it to be 50 cents like a normal arcade. If they do this, they will not be able to play the game again, and have an odd amount left on their card to play a game not as good as that one. Secondly, I would like to state that their claw machine system is terrible. First of all, the claw automatically moved, the button wouldn't let you close it, and it would not fall! It would automatically close without dropping at all, truly unbelievable. Lastly, I would like to talk about their awful coin machine. You get coins from scanning your card, and this one game would let you put it in, but not give any tickets. The machine said approximately 370 tickets, but would not put it on my card! I tried to tell 2 employees but they said the same thing "it auto loads to your card". But they did not know their own games, and this is because you must scan that game for the tickets because it will not recognize your card. I brought an employee over, and tried to show them that it didn't give tickets. I lost the game in front of them so no tickets were added, but my number just stayed there... and the worker did not take the matter seriously, resulting in me getting no tickets. I finished my experience extremely unsatisfied. To conclude, please fix your machines, claws, and your credit system. They say let's have some fun today at kokomos in the commercial, but fun here is not possible if these limitations exist.
If any questions prevail Kokomos, don't hesitate to ask me.

Great place to take the family!

Go Karts, bumper boats, laser tag, and lots more to entertain the kids. I prefer putt-putt golf over all of the attractions. Fairly reasonable as well. Always a good time.
