Not accessible at this time.
Jul 2021 • Family
Not Accessible at this time. The drive to the island was closed. That made it difficult for 2 elderly old folks with walkers.

Great picnic spot

Enjoyed an hour there. No cars allowed at this time which is great. Luscious trees, picnic tables and shade. Enjoy!

A "Park" to Never "Park" In
Sep 2019
When this island park was created, beauty and tranquility were at the forefront of the designers' plans. For many years, the park lived up to that expectation and soon became a favorite of the citizens of Saginaw.
Unfortunately, time and lack of proper maintenance have caused this once-wonderful park to fall into disrepair and disorder. Where once the water had set the calm backdrop for this island of plentiful trees and space, it has now become a virtual disaster boasting untrimmed trees, a more narrow thoroughfare that makes navigation difficult during the few instances where heavy traffic might occur there, and it has become perhaps one of the saddest sites in the entire city- second only to Wickes Park a mile or so away.
Obviously, to visitors of Saginaw, it is evident that how the city feels about its parks is exactly how it feels about the city itself.

Nice Walking Area
Sep 2019 • Couples
A pleasant area to walk around. Nice trees and view of the Saginaw river. Generally a safe part of town.

A lovely hike
Mar 2019 • Couples
We went here in March and we enjoyed the hike at the Ojibway Island. There were lots of majestic trees everywhere.

We were walking on a concrete path.

There was a river nearby, I liked that.

I felt good for the hike.

Worthwhile to see!

First Annual Lupus Awareness Walk!
May 2018 • Couples
My wife and I organized this walk in May for Lupus Awareness Month. Even though it was a rainy day, many people turned out to walk from Ojibway to 7-Eleven and back. Thank you to all who came out! Ojibway Island is a great place to meet and walk.

Beautiful Island; Peaceful Setting
Jul 2017 • Couples
Located in the middle of Saginaw, I spent countless hours here as a kid. There is fishing and you can launch a boat here. Walk around the island with a bag of popcorn to feed the geese and seagulls. Kids love this place.

Always a pretty drive around
Jul 2017
Always nice to just cruise around the circle...Sometimes we get out and play down by the river side and the trees. Kids just love to run. Or we bring a picnic and enjoy some shade time.

4th of July event
Jul 2017 • Family
I'm a little disappointed at this event. It felt that if you did not contribute, you have to go to the (nose bleed section) crappy area of the island. The gated off the waterfront and have to pay in advance $50.00 for 4 bands in order to "see" the display at a good seat. We ended up sitting by the stage a ways to see the top half of the display. Volunteers/workers were being rude to many people. As a first time viewer of the display, there was not a lot of info about fee's, etc. other then that, my kids had fun trying to catch firefly's while waiting. The park itself seems pretty nice, but cannot give you an accurate review because it is pretty crowded for this event.
