Free one day Christian Concerts. This year the line up included Red, Danny Gokey (from American Idol) and Crowder. The concerts are outside but there is plenty of shade. They also have a rock wall and inflatable slides for the kids. You can bring a cooler for food and drinks or they have vendors on the island.

Enjoy a trip around the island in your vehicle to enjoy a few minutes of the trees, wildlife (squirrels, birds, geese, possum, seagulls, etc). Great place to take a stroll, go jogging, even ride a bike along the paved driveway. View the Saginaw River and the skyline of Old Town Saginaw area. Plenty of picnic tables to eat lunch with... This park has four season access and four season interest. Walking the 2/3 mile lap or the half mile or so from bridge to bridge is a nice way to take a break from the day. There are no historical markers from the lumber days but there is a boulder to the first mass there. Summer concerts and fireworks are... More

Ojibway has been a nice peaceful resort for me just to get away from it all. Clear my thoughts of the days stress & to come up with new ideas for future projects!

It's a large, clean, quiet park for the family and for events. You'll definitely enjoy it when you go there.

Ojibway Island is just a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing lunch break, a fun family afternoon, or a great location for a big outdoor concert! The island, located in the Saginaw River in the city of Saginaw, is a refreshing oasis in the middle of a dirty city that has seen better days. The city does a good job... More

Okay, now after reading other reviews I just had to put-in my 2centsworth. I am from another large city in Michigan which definitely has the same "concerns" with it's parks and open spaces. And...I love a good park. Sure, in the middle of the day, especially on weekends, and when with a group---you are safe. The setting is actually phenomenal... More

Ojibway Island is my favorite place to visit in Saginaw. This city has a bad rep, but I feel that it is truly beautiful and one of its hidden gems is this park. Definitely a must-see if you have some free time.

A nice island to walk around. Easy access from either end of the island. The main loop is about two-thirds of a mile around. Always have walkers during the day.

This sounds like a wonderful place to picnic, and hang out. NOT AT ALL THE CASE. The island is more or less a place for drug activity, and prostitution on a day to day basis. When there is a concert or big function ITS GREAT, but any other time.... keep on driving. Broken glass and trash everywhere, grass needs to... More
