Camping and hiking trip
Oct 2020 • Family
Spent four nights camping at Trig camp ground situated deep within the Deep Creek Conservation Park. This camp site has no power, no water and drop toilets so be prepared. Fire pits at each site available to use when no fire restrictions exist. Our group stayed on campsites 22, 23 and 24. Ample room for four tents, gazebo and three cars and trailer. Not suitable for caravans but camper trailers and pop-tops are well suited for the environment. These sites were well protected from the elements with Black it’s and trees all around. Across the road was a grass patch area for the kangaroos. A short drive approx. 7-8km was Blow Hole beach, accessible only by 4WD. The waterfall hike (6km return) is also nearby and well suited for fit and experienced hikers. I would highly recommend taking hiking sticks for the trek as it becomes quite steep as descending the gully. Allow 2 - 2 1/2 hours return. Overall a great weekend away for families with your children or teenagers.

Beautiful spot at blowhole beach.
And a 4WD track down to the beach too with stunning views over to Kangaroo Island.

A must for walkers and lovers of nature
Aug 2019
This park is an absolute must for walkers and lovers of native wildlife. It can be rugged and remote and lacks mobile phone coverage so take a paper map with you. Do not miss this park if you are in the area. It has some spectacular views across Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island.

Watching kangaroos in the wild
Jun 2019 • Friends
Lovely drive up the country road to get to Deep Creek Conservation Park where you will be greeted by kangaroos in their natural habitat. The plus point is the view. In the background you will see the beautiful coastline of Fleurieu Peninsula. If you like going off beaten tracks, photographing picturesque landscapes, and being away from hustle bustle of life, then this is the place to go to.

What a wonderful place to experience the outdoors. With tracks that take you to some amazing places, giving you a great views and an amazing experience. Some of the tracks can be be a little tough but take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery and hidden hideaways.

Great hiking trails in the cliffs along the coast line....

I loved jogging the hiking trails in the cliffs along the coast line.... great coastal views.
However in a few instances the sign posts were lacking and without a iphone & GPS could have been tricky.

Pretty Awesome Place

Been camping and hiking here quite a few times. Lots of trails, as well as a number of hidden beaches. Lovely place to get away from it all, and not too far from the city either.

Nice walk
Apr 2019 • Couples
We spent the night in the Campground in the National Park and was absolutly beautiful! Kangaroos everywhere and lots of birds. In the morning we walked the little trekking to the waterfalls, about 2 hours return, quite easy and cool walk but a bit dry landscape. Probably not the best month to visit the waterfall😓!

Beautiful views and wildlife
Jan 2019 • Family
We spent a day here. Drive our 4x4 down to Blowhole Beach. There was loads of wild roos on the surrounding bush lands for great photo opportunities. The bay was breathing taking but not easy to access without 4x4 and good walking shoes - also beware we spotted 2 brown snakes in the rocks on the cliffs.
We also walked to Deep Creek Waterfall. We took the modorate 3.4km route, but it was very strenuous with some steep bits and scramble towards the bottom of the creek. We went mid summer and there was still water on the falls and lots of yabbies in the deep pool at the foot of the fall. Beautiful views of the forest and ocean on the walk down and spectacular rock crags at the bottom. Overall it too us about 2.5 hours there and back with a 10 and 13yr old.

Nice place to visit

The national park is pretty good. There is some dirt road you will feel bumpy. The hiking tracks are well design. You have some chance to see endangered raptor such as a white belly sea eagle. Good place for camping, in the camping area there are plenty of kangaroos.
