We love the location of this park. The incredible paved bike trails make it extremely attractive. We had an interior site and there was absolutely NO privacy. Your backyard would be more private. No trees or buffer to separate sites. We had a tent within...More

We stayed here in a camper for three nights. My only complaint would be that the entrance fee of $9 per day was not included in the camping fee. Our slot was right across from the playground and access to the beach volleyball pits. I...More

This is a state park so you kind of know what you are getting already. The bathrooms are cleaned daily and don't get too dirty throughout the day. Most of the sites offer a fair amount of shade to full shade. No beach front sites...More

Plenty of room to spread out and not full at all. Did not need reservations this time of year! Access to the lake was fairly close however, black flies were terrible. Walk back on their board walk was pretty nice. Showers were clean & well...More

There has been changes here as to the sites. There pull thru sires and larger spaces between the sites. The count went down but the crowed conditions, at least some site are much better. The 2019 season should start with Memorial Day coming

Sand dunes, crystal clear water, nicely wooded with large old white pines. The Park is in the process of getting a full electrical upgrade, to include a car charging station. Staff are always pleasant It fills up fast!

Nice smaller Michigan State Park on Lake Huron with Rogers City just a few miles away. There are also a couple of lighthouses nearby to visit if that's something you're interested in seeing.

Hoeft is a wonderful, wooded State Park on the shores of Lake Huron. There is a paved bike path that extends for miles along the shoreline. You can bike into Rogers City in one direction and to the lighthouse in the other. There are two...More

Our experience with the part was mixed, due to the fact the camp sites that we stayed was 90% mud and that created a lot of issues when the wind blows. Further, the trails within the park is filled with so much Black flies, we...More

42 ft may be an issue. Got to remember this is a very old state park. The suggestion to call the park directly is a good one.
