If you haven't been to a Cheese Store, GO NOW
Sep 2018 • Solo
I finally stopped into this store and could not believe that I had missed out on this for so long. There has got to be 100 different cheeses. The ladies behind the counter are so knowledgeable and will let you taste any of them before slicing. These are great for parties or just for yourself. There is not only cheese in that store, there are crackers and other fun miscellaneous items to buy. You won't be disappointed.

If you go into this place not in a good mood, you will LEAVE in a good mood! Such a fun place to sample and select from so many cheeses. The staff will take their time with you and share their knowledge and be sure that you leave with some perfect cheese selections. The recently added wine section is fun to browse as well.

Phenominal European Cheese
Sep 2017 • Couples
Stop in and sample some European cheeses and you'll most likely be leaving with something to delight you. Over 100 varieties from around the World - imported, domestic and local and all are available to sample. Lunch is by reservation only. A must stop according to my wife. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Great start to our food tour day

Reserve in advance for selection of Quality cheese - you can bring your own wine and they will serve. Beautiful location , knowledgeable presentation and very tasty. Sampled many more and left with a selection of cheese and other quality fresh products.

Minimal Lunch
Jun 2017 • Friends
Our $11 light lunch was a very disappointing experience! Having to order in advance, we were expecting a bit more than a small plate of hors d'oeuvres. Caveat emptor!

Intro to the Cheese Lsfy
Mar 2017 • Friends
Had a great first time visit at this unique shop. Enjoyed tasting several cheeses and selecting a few special ones to share with my family in Montana. I was impressed with all the specialty items and the list of classes offered. Will definitely be back.

What a fun adventure!

My first visit did not disappoint! Lovely shop with everything for the cheese lover. I stopped by to purchase cheese for Mac and cheese, but learned so much! Stacy was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and shared some of her favorite pairings. Have you ever heard of balsamic pearls? Me neither, but they are great on the green olive tapenade (made in-house by Stacy) and paired with meadowkass cheese. I also love the manchego topped with pear and Marcona almonds. Will be sure to try lunch and an evening class. Located in the Victorian house on University in historic downtown Rochester.

A delight for cheese lovers
Dec 2016 • Solo
It was a wonderful to find a cheese shop that carries over 100 local and European cheeses. I was excited to find creamy French Roguefort and and a creamy English Stilton amongst their terrific selection of cheeses. The staff are friendly and welcoming and you can try any of the cheeses before you purchase them. I highly recommend a visit to The Cheese Lady!

We loved the cheese store! Great cheese choices in all variety's. Very helpful girls giving us samples and great ideas on serving. Super cute room for cheese parties. They have all your cheese needs to include fondue pots, cheese cutters, crackers, jams & jellies, aprons, table cloths, nuts, dried fruit just to name a few.
Can't wait to go back!!
