I thought I had visited all of Michigan's recognized waterfalls by time I graduated from college in 1971. It was not until just a few years ago that I became aware that there was a real, natural waterfalls in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, but I never...More

The falls are nice to see, but since they are much smaller than many other falls in the UP I wouldn't suggest to make this trip for the sole purpose of seeing the falls. Combine a visit to the falls with hiking on the trails...More

I have been visiting Ocqueoc Falls for 55 years and camped there before it was a campground and a "scenic site". Some of the best visits have been during the winter because that presents a unique experience. Exploring the "disappearing river" one half mile away...More

The only falls in Michigan's lower Peninsula. We enjoyed our time here...we seen the falls many times in the summer and fall but never had seen them in the winter. We had a great time. A little slippery so be careful. Not quite frozen over...More

I couldn't sit comfortably for three weeks, but I had fun. This is a remote and beautiful location that you should definitely visit.

We were here on a color tour and these are the most impressive waterfallls in Michigan other than other than Tquamenon Falls, very nice new handicapped accessible path to the falls from the parking area and also other hiking trails along the river.

The falls were a suggested stop for us before we left for our trip through northern Michigan. Very glad we stopped, the falls are a very beautiful site. Highly recommend checking it out.

We added this onto our fall road trip itinerary as an afterthought and I'm glad we did. The falls are very small but the area is very scenic and there are trails along the river that we followed for a little while before heading back....More

This is an absolute must to see. It is the largest falls in lower Michigan. I have been coming here for over 25 years. They have made it handicap accessible thru a grant they received several years ago. It is a very family friendly place...More

the falls are not impressive, but if you like swimming and wading in rushing, gurgling water, this is worth the 11 mile drive outside Rogers City

HI Is it a long hike to the Falls once you have parked? Is there camping nearby???

Just a short two hundred yards on a wide cement walk.
Can you hike the trails to the falls without the recreation passport? Do you need to buy a ticket somewhere?

Hi there. I do not think you can hike in because there is no place to park unless on the side of the road. When you get to the falls you can walk in the water and go up the falls to the other side of the road. If you live... More

No, it's pretty low-key and there aren't much in the way of facilities besides the bathroom. There are some nice hikes, so you want to bring some water. The nearest town is Onaway, about ten miles west, or Rogers City, on... More
