Such a perfect place to experience an up close encounter with Incredible aircraft! Our boys loved the flight simulation along with the 3D movie.

The first thing that caught the boys' eyes (8 and 3) were the carnival rides, and 2 or 3 out of the four were perfectly adapted for most adults. Seeing the big planes in the hangar was interesting next, but not nearly as interesting as when we entered the whole space area. Our son is a space fanatic, and we... More

Took our granddaughters, daughter and son-in-law to the Air Zoo. There were rides, simulators and some wonderful exhibits. Several vintage planes. There were also outside activities. Way to cold for the out doors this time. But we will go again.

I was surprised to see lots of carnival flight-themed rides indoors. It was loud and colorful inside the giant hangar. There was the expected museum quality collection of aircraft as well as a well-stocked gift shop. Coupons are suggested as it's a bit pricey for what you find inside, but it was a pleasant way to spend a few hours.... More

I've been here several times. This trip was for an overnight cub scout trip. It is always fun coming here but you must like things that fly. They are constantly updating, keeping things fresh. They cover aviation from the early days of balloons to the space program. There are several rides, including a full motion simulator that uses Flight Sim... More

Wow, these folks sure know a lot about flying. You don't need to be an aviation nut to enjoy your visit. The docents address all ages and levels of education and interest. They make a "typical self-guided tour" into a very educational experience without making it seem like you're being "schooled." You really want to come back and learn more!... More

Great value on this visit. Kids 4 and under get in free. There are a few kids' rides that are free and inside the main museum area. We didn't visit the tiger exhibit, there was an additional charge for that. They will also give guided tours if you'd like throughout the museum. You obviously can't touch the airplanes, but they... I am not a native of Portage, but visit my grandmother there 2 times a year! At least once we make t to the air zoo! Such a cool experience with awesome simulations and shows. The airplanes are cool to look at and it appeals to every age group! A trip to the Kalamazoo area wouldn't be complete without a... More
