I recommend taking this tour for family and couples. It's about a 1.5 Hour Ride and they take you down the St. Clair River to show you the sites on the Canada side and explain what is over there. Then they circle you back around to go back the other way to explain the US side. You will then be taken under the bridge a little father out, then turn around and back. I would say the best side to sit on would be the Top Left side that way you will be on the side they are narrating about each time they go by. I wasn't able to ride on the top, but I would say those are the best seats. The inside seats are just regular chairs at tables and I found the windows hard to see out of because they are older plastic. During the ride they do let you go to the bow of the boat which is the best. You can stand out there as they cruise. I found that was the best thing to do towards the end of the trip. Riding the waves and being at the bow was the greatest experience. Here are my tips: Arrive early even an hour is the best bet to get your tickets and get in line. They start loading even before 45 mins before you leaving time. If you get there too early there is a restaurant nearby right on the water you could go for a drink at, just a suggestion. Parking is great there is a free lot right there at Quay St and Michigan St and I think it's for three hours. You can just walk over from there. They do have a snack/drink bar on the boat at the lower level with beer and soda etc. They have bathrooms on board which are probably small, but I didn't use, just saw the doors when we walked out. When you get on the boat they will take you picture and then sell it to you during your cruise for about $10.00 in a hard paper Huron Lady II frame, only if you want it. You can also request a life jacket for yourself or children, just have to ask. Really for the price of the cruise it's well worth it! Great afternoon on the river/lake!

The cruise takes 1 1/2 hours and goes down the St Clair River to the south end of Port Huron, back up and into the Sarnia harbor area, then under the Blue Water Bridge and out into Lake Huron as far as Lighthouse Beach on the American side.

We thoroughly enjoyed it and the kids liked seeing Port Huron from a different angle. The captain didn't talk much but recorded sections were played for tour highlights.

Get there early to be in line, because seating is first come, first served. Photographers sit on the top deck to for clearer shots.

The Huron Lady II was great, the staff was nice and the boat practiced safety measures with social distancing on the roof of the boat. A great day on the water, weather was awesome. I’m glad I bought tickets from Groupon to save money too. Highly recommended

Our family gathering of 14 people, ages ranging from 20somethings to elderly, some with mobility issues, totally enjoyed our recent Huron Lady II river cruise. Some sat inside, while most sat on the upper deck in the shade. Our cruise was about 60 minutes. We enjoyed the narrated tour that takes you down the Canadian shoreline and back up the American shoreline, under the Blue Water Bridges, and to the mouth of Lake Huron and the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, and back down to the Black River. Historic and industrial and municipal sites are noted and explained. Unfortunately we saw not a single freighter going up or downstream, only a couple that were docked. The ship boards 30 minutes before departure time; get there early to get in line for the choicest seats along the upper deck railings. Be aware that there is a steep ramp from street level down to the dock; one of our party uses a walker, and it wasn't easy coming down the ramp. There is a less steep ramp at the other end of the dock, but the walk is much further. Amenities include a concession stand with beverages (soft and alcoholic) and snacks. Restrooms are available on board. Nice experience for the price. Book early as these cruises often sell out.

We haven't cruised on HL2 for a number of years and had always brought family and friends for a boat ride. We were disappointed to see that the cruise route has changed and doesn't go further south on the river to see some of the houses along the shores of the USA and Canada. Now you see more of chemical valley. Our ride was also about 10-15 minutes shorter than advertised. Won't take this again. May try the cruise offered on offered from Sarnia?

Was in Port Huron to see family and decided to do a bit of sightseeing. Had been in the area and came upon the Huron Lady II and decided to go on the cruise the next day. They do offer public sightseeing cruises for $28 adults $26 for seniors. This 90 min cruise offered great information and great opportunities for photos. They do offer a photo that can be taken there for $10, which in my opinion was a nice keepsake. The weather was beautiful and you go right under the Blue Water Bridge to Canada, which makes a nice video for folks who have never experienced it.

We've done this tour before with the previous owners and wanted to see what the new owners have done...and we had a GREAT tour! Left the dock on time and sailed out of the Black River to the St. Clair river, sailed down past Sarnia's 'chemical valley' complex, then U-turned and sailed up to the Sarnia harbor, then continued upriver, under the twin spans of the Blue Water Bridge and out to the mouth of Lake Huron, another U-turn and sailed back to the Black River and then docked. 1.5 hours, fully narrated. Highly recommend this tour for visitors and residents alike!

We had been visiting Port Huron for 20 years. This was our first cruise with the Lady Huron. The staff were incredible. Loved seeing everything from being on the water. Great script on tour. Fun facts about Lake Huron and the St, Clair River. Never knew there was a train tunnel between Port Huron and Sarnia Ontario beneath the river until then. Light snacks and beverages were available at a reasonable price. Also loved the souvenier photo which of course we bought!

We had booked a private party for a group of 45 people and were we ever well taken care of. From boarding when we were greeted by the captain/pilot through a wonderful buffet dinner and a relaxing ride on the Huron River, it was a wonderful evening. The staff which manned the bar always had terrific smiles for every one of us, adding more to our special evening.

My friend treated me to a river cruise for my birthday. I'm disabled and the entire crew was very accommodating and helpful. They made our trip extra special. The boat was not huge, but felt very stable and safe on the water. Snacks and drinks were available and reasonably priced. Overall, it was a great little day trip.
