Beautiful hotel and friendly staff, stayed 2 nights in a suite and saw fireworks all around the traverse bay water right out our room! The casino was crowded on Sunday evening and the slots were lose and hit big on a machine and yelled so excited, had lots of fun and great machines to choose from. Buffet is closed now was our favorite place to eat and then play but the copper cafe is great variety of things to pick from friendly staff there. Was their on July 4th and 5th, and had the best time, not just because I won but that I give this a excellent review I have lost at times but you can't win all the time it's a great casino to play and have a good time!!

I have been a slot player for over 25 years and all I can say about this casino is STAY AWAY! We were there today, I hope, for the last time. When they opened the original casino I started to go there but I usually lost. After years of going to other casinos I decided to give Odawa another try. It is worse now than it ever was. I was there today for 2 1/2 hours and I lost 1800.00. I play dollar slot machines and my biggest win was 60.00. I did not see one hand pay. Ever since they reopened a few months ago, I have had the feeling they are trying to recoup the money they lost during the shutdown. My recommendation is Bay Mills Casino in Brimley. At least up there I may not win, but I don't feel like I am being screwed!

My wife and I like to gamble when we are able. We were on our family vacation recently and had our oldest kids watch the youngest so we could have a date night at the Casino. We were there about 20 minutes when my wife came and told me we needed to leave. She had sat at a slot machine she did not understand, like pretty much every slot machine, and was trying to cash out to move on to another. The machine would not allow her to cash out, so they called a manager over. My wife said she has never felt so disrespected as a customer before. The manager was rude and simple told her "you need to keep going", despite that all she wanted was to cash out and move to another machine. The issue is not that she had to place her bet, it's the rude floor manager that did a terrible job explaining it to her. Had he said, you have placed a $0.75 cent bet that just needs to be completed before she can cash out, well, we would have lost a lot more money in your casino. This was a Monday night with very few patrons, yet the manager couldn't muster up any sort of customer service. It's terrible, I planned to play Craps all night, she planned to sit at machines all night. That frequently leads to large losses, but tonight we left winners for not spending another dime in your casino after the disrespect you showed my wife. We will not return when we come back up next year, I'll find another place to stay as well, simply because the hotel is linked to the name (hotel service has been great though, and they will get a good review). The only reason I gave 2 stars here is because the table dealers were nice when I was there. There were multiple other negative reviews about the floor manager here, but I ignored them. Don't ignore them, if you don't need any help, you might have fun. But, if you need to talk to an employee in leadership, some guy who has 0 custer service ability will come make sure you never want to come back.

Advice for Casino, people are in there to have a good time, don't be rude because you have to do your job.

Went with a friend to try our luck, spent a couple of hours playing the slot machines. Lots of fun machines, even penny slots, so we had lots of fun. Won a small amount, so that made it even better...

Was a bit disappointed with food service - wanted a sit down regular meal, but restaurant was closed due to Covid. They had a fast food type service, but nothing that looked interesting. There was a drink machine available for self service, which was very nice. All staff were wearing masks according to Covid protocol. Would definitely go back again.

Totally a hit you in the head and take your money. This is not entertainment, this is most likely not even close to the lowest pays that are legal. Go for the food, go for the excercise, go for the drinks, Dont go and throw your money away. I Will not go back, and i live 25 miles away, i will drive 75 miles north ( not kewadin) and get fair play for my money.

Wow. Just wow. One of, if not the worst casinos I have EVER been to. Leta start with the ATM ummm half are not working. Standing in a five person line to get cash to undoubtedly give to the casino. ugh
As we walked through the casino it appeared as 10% of the slots were not working. Once my wife picked one the buttons worked about half the time.
6 table games were there. No craps just 2 Texas holdem poker and 4 blackjack. Half the center floor was open literally nothing there.
As for the slots paying yeah no not at all the games seem to be set to give bonuses but ti the tune of 12 to 20 dollars now minded you she plays max bet always! Hit 5 bonuses but absolutely no significant payout. They were also extremely outdated.
Its was dark low energy. just an over all horrible experience.
In sur this isn't gonna change a thing in the way they do business, but one would have to think this isn't gonna be a long lasting recipe for a business.
Management PLEASE go visit other casinos in the area and see how it should be done

Absolutely rock bottom pay or free spins even. Nothing. Machines must be set at 3% or maybe less. Even some of the employees we spoke with said its a constant complaint. We went because we had a $80 night. The hotel is not part of the Casino. After arriving we were told our free play(5$) and food coupon ($5) was not good until we played at least 2000 points. I was not going too lose that much so left. If you like watching wheels spin with no action tis is the Casino for you.

A couple weeks ago we went to Odawa Casino in Petoskey. There was an issue where another player claimed to have let money in the machine and left. I got on, played for a few minutes when she came back and told me she had left her money. We got the slot attendants who got his boss. The original gentlemen was great, his boss should have remained stayed away and should not be working with the public. He started screaming at me for asking him how I was going to loose money. I had not raised my voice at all. I told him he did not have to scream at me. He got close to my face and screamed " Yes I do, you are not listening to me!" At this point everyone within 20 feet looked. I was totally humiliated. The original gentlemen said this is what I will do and he settled it and we were both ok. I then went to the administration, the "supervisors" boss, explained to him what happened. He simply said we will look at the camera and walked away. Customer service at it best NOT, considering he has a job because of everyone walking through that door.

We visited on a Monday evening and found that their table games weren't in operation on Monday and Tuesday. However a friendly attendant told me they had electronic blackjack machines which I played and enjoyed, especially since I won on them. My wife played the slots. It was very quiet and smoke-free (I assume because of the pandemic) which was nice. It was a nice casino, typical of the up north casinos.

Had 10 couples that spent the weekend with us and we went to Odawa casino in April 29. 2023. It was horrible. No one won NOTHING. This is the 3rd time going there and walking away with no winnings. We had couples that were trying to play different things it wasnt just slots. We all decided to never go back to this casino again. I just sat and people watched and I didn’t see Anyone winning. Save your money and do something else.
