Bring your water shoes and swimsuit! There are several places you can go into the lower falls and splash around a bit. The entire first part of the trail is paved, so pack up the stroller and bring it! Upper Falls were gorgeous but unfortunately it was pouring when we got to that part so we didn't stay long. Can't... Beautiful, paved trails so accessible for all. We ate at the on-site brewery and pub and the food was delicious and served hot!

We visited both the upper and lower falls this year. The water is really moving this year. The color is not as vibrant as in years past, but they are still amazing.

It rained before we arrived. The path to the Upper Falls was paved. Pretty wooded area. The falls were really pretty. 94 steps down to the falls. Worth the trip. Not many gas stations or restaurants in the area.

My husband and I took our girls (ages 12 and 15) to the UP in early August for a week-long vacation at various locations. One of the first things we did was hike Tahquamenon Falls and it was definitely one of our most memorable times spent together! We spent the night at a hotel in Paradise and woke up to... More

We just saw the lower falls as we saw the upper falls on the Toonerville Trolley & Boat ride. The lower falls were pretty. Glad we stopped to see them.

I live in the DR and we can pretty much swim in any waterfalls there. I didn't know that there were waterfalls where they would still allow you to do that in the USA. The lower falls at Tahquamenon Falls State Park absolutely does! Why would anyone go to just look at them!?

Love this state park. Great trails and camping. Didn't get to see a moose, but we'll be back to try again!

Our only regret was not spending more time here, both falls are amazing. Lots of people complaining about the stairs, we have 3 kids, 11,7,4 and we all made it and it wasnt that bad at all. It was beautiful.

Nice boarded paths to the falls. If we had known about the shuttle service ahead of time, we could have walked from the upper falls to the lower falls (about 4 miles) and then taken shuttle back. Inquire about the shuttles before you start the hike.
