This is definitely the prettiest "cider mill", pumpkin patch around. I put cider mill in quotes because they get pasteurized cider from elsewhere. Nevertheless, there is so much for little kids to do, a mini farm, train ride, etc. They also have a general store.
Of course they have hayrides and a corn maze. The grounds and displays are gorgeous. They are overpriced . Visit on a weekday and avoid the mobs which are horrendous on nice fall weekends.

We come here year after year for cider and doughnuts, which are the best hand down. These guys ARE better then that place in Franklin and Yates. This is the real deal!
The entire place is a experience! From the easy parking to the extremely family oriented atmosphere. There is a shop, general store, train rides, hay rides, petting farm, corn maze, apple cider slushy and the best cinnamon or old fashioned donuts arround.
Warm and crispy these doughnuts are!
Bring the kids and have some fun...

I really enjoy coming here with my 4yo and 18 month old. Between the animals to see (pigs, sheep, goats, bunnies) and the playground and corn "sand" box, there's plenty of free things to do. You do pay for hayrides, corn maize, the train, pumpkins, donuts, and cider, obviously, but I guess that makes sense when all these other things are free. I do think the train is pretty overpriced - $4 per person is pretty steep when you have kids that can't ride alone and shout "again!" after the small ride.
Still it's very fun. Plenty of tables to bring your own food. Weekends in October are NUTS, but the weekdays aren't bad.
Be forewarned - the bathrooms are NOT real bathrooms. They are porta-potties with a building built around it and they are disgusting. I was so glad we weren't there long enough for my daughter to need to go! There was pee and Lord knows what else all over every surface, the smell was horrendous, the toilet paper was cheap and shredded from people trying to get it to unroll properly. Hold it if you can!

Younger children love this place because of the many money charging activities, so be sure to bring plenty of cash. I always question the intent of a large company like this when they only accept cash. The parking lot. It was a slippery, mud mess with attendants yelling and waving their arms. I almost wiped out walking due to the slippery mud. Some hay over the mud would have made the lot safer. I sure didn't like the attendants screaming. They totally disregarded handicap permit and just didn't care. Too commercialized and tourist trap environment. Imported or store bought donuts and cider. I also tripped on an unmarked cable. Watch your step!

Very family oriented, and we don't have kids...so we found it a little too crazy for our tastes. The cider is good but I don't think they make the donuts or cider there, so I feel like it's kind of a fake out. I'm pretty sure the cider is pressed elsewhere although I think it is from their own apples. For a family that just wants to entertain the kids it's great, but if you're a true donut and cider connoisseur, it's just average.

Three Cedars is a must-stop destination for autumn. They offer a great play area for kids which includes animals and playground style toys. The cider and donuts here are great and we always leave with extra goodies. Three Cedars also has pumpkins for sale or the option for a u-pick. This place can get kinda crazy on the weekends but it is well worth it.

Our family makes a trip to Three Cedars every year after Thanksgiving. The Christmas displays are awesome and on the second level of the gift shop, Santa and Mrs Claus are there to take a picture. There is a fee for the picture but the funds go to a charity and is not kept by the farm. Three Cedars is old fashioned family fun with something for everyone. You need to go at Christmas at least once.

Three Ceders Farm does not grow apples, they buy the apples to press in their cider mill. However Longs Orchard in Commerce Twp does grow apples and they have a U-pick apple area Open M-F Noon - 6pm and Sat Sun 930am-6pm. longsorchard com
At Longs they sell you a bag to pick apples. Each person over the age of 4 years must buy a bag to get access to the orchard. The smallest bag is $3 and it can hold 7-10 apples. The Medium size bag is $5, Large is $9, X-Large is $17. Also X-Large bag - 1/2 bushel. Question is: can you buy one X-Large bag for 4 people to enter the orchard. Answer = No. because each person must carry their own individual bag to enter the orchard.

What is the admission fee to going to the Cedar farm
Written October 14, 2016
It's absolutely Free! The only cost is if you buy something from the gift shop, donut-cider shop, or going through the 7 acre corn maze.
