We spent an hour exploring the village on Sunday. There are docents in each of the buildings on Sunday afternoons in the summer. It was interesting to learn the history of the buildings and the area. It is free to visit-donations are also accepted.

If you like Greenfield Village you should visit the Historical Village in Northville. It is smaller, but very beautiful and holds the same historic charm. I lived in Northville for 2 years before I knew it was there so it is a bit of a hidden gem.

Beautifully restored buildings in one spot. Lovely relaxing spot. Buildings are available to rent for occasions.

This is a small historical village that has been put together consisting of building that were once a part of the area, from various settings. They have been deconstructed and moved here and then reconstructed for display or a replica has been built from pictures of the original building that could not be moved for one reason or another. It's... More

Great spot to check out a little local history, or just to relax and walk around. Docents are very knowledgeable.

Have been here several times. Nice, historic place. Well kept. There are about 10 old buildings, including an old church and school. The grounds are very pretty.

Small and cute place which preserves some history. It is small village placed on a river with waterfall. Must see if you visit Northville.

Mill Race offers a wonderful step back in time and allows the visitor to see two homes, a one-room schoolhouse, an old church and a stagecoach stop inn. On Sundays, you can visit the general store and see a blacksmith in action. It's a great history lesson, seen live, for kids and adults alike.

We like to visit. It is great and pretty. Grab a coffee, a cider slushy or just yourself. We visited this last time during The Victorian Festival when the buildings were open, interpreters were at every building. Local choirs were performing. It was full and fun. The gift shop has unique treasures at good prices. It was an enjoyable afternoon.... More

A hidden gem, like a little greenfield village in downtown Northville. Worth visiting and walking around, very well preserved.
