Such a fun place with so much to do, but be prepared to spend a lot of money here!!!

We purchased the cheapest admission possible by buying tickets during their flash sale, but it was still $16/person + $1.25 fee per person, so $17.25/person. With a family with kids, that adds up fast! If you purchase tickets at the gate, it's about $10 more per person!

Then it costs an additional $6 (!!!) for a small animal food cup which of course the kids will want because it's so much fun to feed the animals. With how expensive the admission fee is, I think an animal food cup should be included with admission!

Then a birdseed stick costs $2/stick for a small stick covered in birdseed to feed the parakeets. Another fun thing that the kids will want to do, but really, $2 for a small stick with a little bit of birdseed that the birds clear off in only a matter of minutes? This, too, should be included in the admission price, or at the very least, charge 2 sticks for $1.

Then, the food. Not only do they NOT allow you to bring in your own cooler or outside food, but the prices for their food is so expensive! $15-16 per meal and kid's meals are $10! That adds up so fast for a family! We don't even take our kids to restaurants and pay that much for them, let alone at a takeout window!!!

They also have more special activities that cost extra as well, but we did not do them.

So just for a family with only 3 kids, you're looking at about $170 for the day with everyone's admission and meals, 3 animal food cups for the kids and 3 birdseed sticks. And if you do any of their other special activities, you can expect more fees for those as well!

Also, they have a strange rule that you can only ride the carousel and barrel train ONCE on weekdays with your admission. Or you can pay an additional $2 per ride to ride them again. What?? Why can't they be unlimited with admission?? Makes no sense, other than they want more money.

It's definitely a very fun place but they seem like they're out to make money off of you every time you turn around.

We have been here several times and it is a wonderful place for families. Clean and well kept, with interesting and fun things to do for a variety of ages. It's such a great place that I want the Farm to take a look at the few things that make it not so great:

1) The music is too loud and does not fit with the farm and zoo theme. A set of speakers is right next to one of our toddler's favorite places, the sand pit. The music is way too loud for little kids and scratchy/static. Country music in the background? Great. In the foreground? Annoying and painful. This is not a bar.

2) The food is pretty terrible. It is carnival food, burgers and fries, and while most of the concessions are closed during the week, no outside food is allowed. The Farm Market is great - add a couple of fresh sandwiches and salads there and I bet you would clean up.

3) Lots of grandparents come along, so it would be great to provide more benches for them along the way.

Looking forward to more Farm days next year!

We stopped by b/c of good reviews on Trip Advisor. So glad we did! We spent 4 hours here. My 7, 9, & 11 year olds really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a visit.

So many animals to see & feed. We loved the aviary & visited 3 times...just shuffle your feet!

The gift shop was nice. Everything was so clean!

Would love to visit again in the various seasons & see what they offer!

What a fun place to visit! The animals are noticeably well-cared for and interact with the guests constantly if you have zoo nuggets to feed them. Purchase zoo nuggets - lots of cups- and you will love the experience!
My granddaughter gave the baby camel a bottle of milk. Both Mae and the camel were smiling!
Later, we went on the Animal Encounter Experience with the kangaroos and other animals. I won't share any more details. If you're an animal lover, it will be a highlight of your activities in Michigan.
Everywhere we went on the farm, there were fun, and engaging, activities.
Oh, one more thing. Check out the goodies in the bakery and fudge shop. We did eat salads for lunch but also indulged in the fudge. Yum, yum, yum!

Came up here for a family get away and discovered this place, WOW. Spent 4 hours here with our 4 year old daughter and we ALL had an absolute blast. There are so many activities to do besides petting all the animals, which I’m very sure we did pet every single animal which is no small task! Lol. The animals were extremely well taken care of and just as friendly as the staff! Highly recommend!

Went with family 09/08/2013. We were an hour from closing so didn't pay full price. But even for just $3(not the full $7) a person it was bad. They only couple of activities (bouncy thing and petal karts) that my son wanted to use he couldn't because it wasn't included. Plus $5 a small bag to feed animals. So not only was it lousy we also ended up paying to feed your animals. . . nice.
At least at Klackle Orchards in Greenville ($9 weekends) includes almost everything PLUS free bag of apples.

We took our family of five just today to the farm. Good for kids and has great variety of animals to pet. Lots to do. However just to enter their grounds and walk around is 3 dollars a person. If you want to ride the little train, pick apples with wagon ride, go on their go carts, shot apple cannon, jump on their inflatable pumpkin this is all extra and is 12 dollars per person. For a family of 5 that's 60 dollars! We bought one medium size family pumpkin and paid another 7 for that. If you want to pick apples for a small clear plastic bag expect another 7 dollars. They are selling stuff in their candy/donut shop and everywhere you turn its priced high. Its a cool farm and lots to see but for the adverage family it's just a huge money sponge and leaves you drained of your money when you leave. In future I'd find somewhere else that doesn't take advantage of hardworking families.

We stopped by Lewis farm market just 2 days back.we were staying at the nearby douglas jj ranch .it was a very impressive farm with lots of animals to pet for the little ones and lots of games.my son especially enjoyed the apple shooting game however things r a bit pricey.fall decorations were awesome everywhere and very colorful .we had to pay 12 dollars for the wristband each five dollars for the bag of food for animals which s outrageous and then pay more to get on the wagon ride to the apple farm.then we paid seven dollars a bag to pick apples.i guess buying them from the grocery store is more cheaper than that.i have been to many petting farms and apple picking in michigan but most of them don't charge you for every little thing around the corner.however I gave this review 4 stars cos the farm market was very beautiful and had yummy goodies plus we enjoyed the games and rides a lot and in the end that's all that matters ...whether u had fun....

We were staying at Silver Lake camp ground, after experiencing some rainy weather we decided to explore - we stumbled upon the farm. Wow we were not disappointed, well worth the price of admission. The highlight of this place was the birds. I would highly recommend that you pay the $1.00 US for a feeding stick. It was so cool to have the birds litterally eating out of our hands. Kids could not stop talking about our time there. Great country store

Spent hours with grandchildren ages 2, 4 and 7. I've never seen anything like this place. So many animals to feed and observe. The bird feeding area was a big hit with all. So many healthy outdoor games and even pedal carts, giant jumping pillows (which adults can use too!). The corny barn was amazing. It was a barn that was filled with corn for the kids to play in (think sandbox). I can't say enough good about Lewis Farms. We will definitely go back.
