My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by going on the sunset cruise on Lake Michigan through Harbor Country Adventures. It was a 2-hour cruise on a double-decker boat with a bar offering drinks and snacks, and a very good singer-guitarist. The boat has rest rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable at $35 per person.

We took the lake tour on the Emita II and it was very nice. Tour guide was knowledgeable of the area and the crew were all very friendly. Only downside was the parking situation. We had a difficult time finding a place to park where a permit wasn’t required or paying a $15 fee to park at the park. Glad we arrived early as it took us 20-30 minutes to find a place.

We enjoyed the sunset cruise aboard the Emita II on June 8. Everything from the harbor, parking, crew, live music, bar, ship, siteseeing, and sunset was 5 stars. We will definitely be back and will recommend to others!

We have also rented jet skis from the MC location in the past and had a very positive experience. Keep in mind that the lake conditions can change in an instant and the waves can be very dangerous. We had them for 2 hours and while the lake stated out smooth, it was very choppy on the way back in.

We kayaked in Michigan City with the Harbor Country folks right there by the lighthouse museum - LOVED it. Great staff (yay LUKE!) and they made me feel prepared and safe, even though me and my family (hubs and 11 and 14 year olds) had never been kayaking on a lake or large canal like this before. They gave us a safety briefing, checked all our floats and equipment and explained why and what they did. There was a small craft warning on Lake Michigan so we needed to stay in the canal - they explained where we were and what we could see and warned us that the wind might be a lot harder on the way back upstream so we needed to pay attention to how far we got. It was just a really fun experience and the folks who work there were friendly and interested and joked with us. Also, the canal is really cool and there's a train bridge downstream that turns - it was absolutely lovely (and not TOO hard to paddle back, thankfully!).

Why isn’t this your in the top 3 things to do while in Michigan City, Indiana?!?Highly recommend the Tour with a Ranger from the National Park. Very educational, great vessel, great staff.

Downtown Michigan City is experiencing dynamic revitalization and the team at Harbor Country tours have a variety of options for boat excursions and limo style wine/brewery tours.

-one suggestion: put Trip Advisor listing under Michigan City so it pops up when people are looking for things to do by city. Offer a coupon for a partner restaurant in MC. Build a weekend experience for those traveling from other Midwest towns.

Took the "Ride With A Ranger" cruise aboard the Emita II on a Friday morning. There was plenty of free parking available during the time we were there. This is a perfect way to get a well rounded overview of Indiana Dunes National Park. Our Ranger guide was very knowledgeable of the Dunes Park as well as entertaining and informative with his presentation. The crew was attentive to the patrons and the captain was very accommodating to the youngsters on board. I believe that everyone on the vessel had a good time.

Incredibly helpful tour company that provided excellent service, professional driver and an overall great experience. Booked for a wine tour with friends - everyone involved had a great time.

Shout out to Kenny, our driver, who did a great job keeping us safe and on schedule. Would highly recommend this company.

We were lucky enough to book on the last sunset cruise of the season with Harbor Country Adventures. We had the sunset on one side of the boat and the harvest moon on the other. We made new friends and the musician was amazing! The crew was fantastic. It was truly a magical evening! We would visit the Dunes again, just for this cruise.

We did the Saturday Night Party Cruise with couple of friends and had a blast! Perfect for a night out as a couple, or a girls' night out. It's a double decker boat, you can enjoy the view on the upper deck or relax in the enclosed portion downstairs. There's an open bar, excellent DJ Doug that will have you dancing the whole night. Awesome night out!
