Enjoyed walking the grounds of the Chateau with family. The grounds are very pretty and you can climb to the top of the tower for an amazing view of the area. The tower stairs are a bit worn in places and it can be a...More

The chateau was closed from 12.00 to 14.00 and we arrived at 11.40 so it was pointless going in for such a short time. The village however is remarkably well preserved and quiet beautiful. It was very calm the day we visited it but I...More

Another plus beaux village de France on our tour of the Dordogne region. This very pleasant village has a chateau/castle situated high above the village. It is a steady climb upwards through the village towards the chateau walls. A 5 euro entry gives you access...More

An impressive and well maintained castle with impressive gardens. Stunning views although beware of going up the tower for the less able, very narrow steps.

Even though there is no access to the old chateau living quarters as it is still owned and lived in by a private family, this visit was a delight. We noticed the chateau perched in the distance whilst driving en route from Bordeaux to Prudhomat,...More

You can see the castle standing on its hill top from afar, and once up there, you can see for miles over this rich beautiful countryside, with nothing ugly, as wind farms, in sight. It is possible to drive up, but although the hill looks...More

I andy boyfriend went there in the morning. The most amazing and beautiful castle with wonderful view to see from the top of the castle. Not too far to climb there and all the village around there is so antique and beautiful too.

Chateau de Turenne is perched high above the village not a testing walk to reach the entrance. The 5 euro entrance fee entitles you to a colour 1 page history of the Chateau and a visit to the guard room, gardens and tower, be warned...More

It's a cute medieval village on a steep hill with a ruined castle, it was 5 euros and we were tired, so we skipped the climb up the tower and the gardens, but the town was fun to see.
