Well maintained ‘Maison’ in a gorgeous town (which unfortunately has seen better days, the town not the castle) Well restored and absolutely gorgeous, minutely manicured gardens!

Beautiful Chateau, gardens and surrounding village to tour. We took a self-guided tour through the castle and gardens. It's just amazing to see the level of craftsmanship as well as the meticulously maintained gardens. Definitely worth a visit!

The views are you are approaching the chateau are amazing and the expectation that you are going to see something special are increased.....but be aware that a fire all but destroyed much of the interior many years ago so the glitz will be missing but...More

This was a lovely castle with well maintained gardens. In particular, we liked visiting the top of one of the towers to see how the lauze roofing worked from the inside. They have a free WiFi room to sit in and hang out. We didn’t...More

We decided to visit Chateau Hautefort as we were in the area, and did not visit last year when we had the opportunity to do so. Well, we were very impressed with the amount of the chateau that is open to the public. Lots of...More

This chateau is slightly north of the more touristy parts of the Dordogne region, so is less well visited than some attractions. This gives you more time and space to enjoy it. We chose not to have a guided tour, but just to use the...More

We visited Chateau de Hautefort whilst staying locally just outside the town. The chateau dominates the local area and is even more beautiful close up. The self guided tour was very informative and there was information in English as well as French which was very...More

If you have a chance to see this castle in the deep, deep heart of France (Dordogne region)it is fantastic! Not many people get here so crowds are small. I particularly liked the night tour. It is all in French but so much fun! The...More

A big thank you for your message ... Our nocturnes are a good time to share with family or friends, especially with the current hot weather ... The cinema is also in the spotlight, with many memories of film shoots ... See you soon ;)

We visited this chateau and garden because dogs are aloud in the grounds but not in the chateau, which is fine. There is also a walk through the woods, s the dog can run a bit. The "garden" consist mainly of finely trimmed hedges, a...More

Hello, Dogs are actually allowed in the gardens and park, but not in the castle, whose drawbridge is the only entrance. In order not to disturb the visitors, and to allow the animals to wait in a place protected from the sun, we invite the...More

This place has very interesting unique features in the form of two unusually shaped towers that flank the courtyard. I would say that the majority of the appeal of this place lies in the exterior. The interiors were beautiful, but what sets this place apart...More
