The Musee de la Medicine is an excellent destination on the odd rainy day here in the Dordogne, It is fascinating and slightly gruesome in parts with the use of some of the instruments left to the imagination! The building is wonderful and echoes the...More

Very surprising and interesting to find. The audio tour (in English) was useful. The ancient medicine history was interesting but I found the turn of the century medicine most interesting as I could relate it to what my grandparents had

Of passing interest if you like peering at various grotesque implements of years gone by. Some particularly amusing exhibit labels where the English went awry. Distinctly average in our opinion.

Excellent value for money and the exhibitions are presented in an interesting way - which makes it especially easy to understand and connect with children as well. We visited in June 2015 and also visited the chateau with gardens - there was a small discount...More
