Recently the whole family gathered from Denver and New Orleans and hiked the cross country ski trails to the Lake MI beach. Dog on a leash, ages 6,12,30,40 and two 60 year olds enjoyed the cool quiet beauty of an hour hike.

Hike, swim, camp, picnic, or all three...a great place for a few hours, or a day, or a week or more. The Visitor Center is a great place to learn about dune ecology.
