Clean area, felt very safe. There is limited parking at the Beach side park (50 cars) (Not suitable for larger RVs and large trucks). If you are using the beach area, it is sandy and water shoes work the best or old tennis shoes. The...More

Nice beach to bring your dog to play in the big water. Large oaks and other broad leaf trees with pretty grasses on the dunes. A boardwalk and stairs make it easy to get down to the beach and get back up again. Beach is...More

This park has a nice boardwalk acess to the beach on Lake Michigan. They have picnic areas with some covered pavilions. Weekends are very busy and access to parking and picnic tables can be a challenge. Nice park!

Don't want to vacation at the beach without your best friend? Bring him to Kruse Park. Reachable from the south side of Pere Marquette park or drive to Kruse. Also has walking trails up in the dunes where you can also catch a bench, relax...More

This park is very nice and the views are wonderful, especially if you're will to climb some stairs. The beach is sandy, the water inviting and it's one of the few, if not the only, dog friendly beach. We like to take visitors here because...More

Just brought my dog here and he had so much fun. All the dogs were off leash and all played very well together. If the rules about leashes changed than I don't think anyone realized. I know I didn't. They should definitely keep this as...More

Great beach, just small. Visited this beach on a sunday in aug and it was beyond slammed with people. One thing has changed on this beach, it is a leashed beach now. It is not suppose to be free range. That being said, there were...More

This is a nice quiet park. The beach is small but pretty clean. There are restrooms and it looks like four covered picnic shelter areas that can be rented from the City or County, not sure how that works.

The dog beach is terrific. Best spot around for an active dog to have some fun in the fresh water. Parking is plentiful. Just don't let the kids wander back into the woods away from the beach, as they may encounter some surprising activities.

I brought my dog here so she could spend the day off leash playing in the water. If you don't want to share the beach with dogs, don't come here! People seemed to do their best to keep their dogs on the "dog side" of...More

There are A LOT. I didn't count them, and there are too many to guess. If you're worried about being able to make it up and down the stairs, just know they also have handicap accessible ramps in addition to the stairs.
