Muskegon is blessed with great history and beautiful beaches. With great improvements, community movies, wonderful the Deck Restaurant and a great pier, this is great for families, dates, events and just some random soul searching. I love kayaking right off the beach and have enjoyed a variety of free events, from worship services to monthly movies. My family loved watching... More

The beach is what Muskegon is all about. From Hoffmaster State Park in the southern part of the county to Duck Lake State Park to the north Muskegon county is favored by Mother Nature with dunes, forests, and beaches. Pere Marquette beach offers dining, water sports, playground equipment, a walk along the channel to Muskegon Lake or on the breakwater... More

I've lived here all my life. Left briefly and missed the lake. Nothing quite like pere Marquette. Just remember if you are not from here to respect the lake and it's power. Every year there are some drownings. Those of us from here know that when you swim. ...stay away from the pier and don't go out where it is... More

This beach is one of the nicest beaches in Michigan, but is not as busy as some. Clean, and well taken care of

Rated as one of the best beaches in the US, Pere Marquette has it all. Sugar sand beaches, windsurfing, paddleboarding, hiking trails, lighthouse views, a hopping restaurant/bar, and the incomparable Lake Michigan.

This was a very large beach area, one of the best in a city. More parking and spaces not crowded than most in a city setting.

Expansive lake Michigan sandy beach with great parking. A beach casual restaurant is located next to numerous volleyball sand courts.

Great beach for kids, walking......has a lighthouse and excellent parking. It's not a world class beach, but is very nice for Michigan.
