You have to pay to enter Hoffmaster and Muskegon State Parks, but this one is a public park so parking and entrance are free. You're just on the other side of the lighthouse from Muskegon State Park. I'm not sure if there was a changing area because we were only dipping our toes in because it was really windy and... More

Loved the beach. Nice clean beach and clean water. There are fire pits so you can have a bon fire at night. There is also a dog park, this was the dogs first introduction to the beach and he loved it!!!

Great free beach. Not a state park. Clean, big, not crowded. Beautiful in August. Clear clean water.

Clean sands, wide beaches, a dog friendly section, boardwalk and backdune paved walking trail. Seasonal medium priced restaurant (The Deck), reasonable bathhouse and snack shop. Less crowded than many of the area state parks.

Love love this park and beach. Lake MI is awesome, refreshing and so clean. Sandy beach, refreshments, restaurant....piers to walk down, 2 lighthouses and one you can tour. A playground, bath house, coast guard, volleyball courts, and picture perfect sunsets.

Such a clean and beautiful beach!! My family comes to visit from out of town and always asks to go to Pere Marquette. We love the sandy beaches, the bathroom close by, The Deck is also close. Very ute lighthouse to walk to. Also, there is a dog beach on the south end.

This is a spectacular beach. Restaurant and playground available but come for the sand and water. Walk around and view channel and shaded park.

Pere Marquette Park has qualities that no other community on Lake Michigan can claim. Size, amenities, activities, access to parking, overall water quality. This is truly Muskegon's hidden gem.
