It's beautiful inside and the murals are breathtaking...even if you are not religious. The views from the rooftop are lovely and a must to do if you are visiting the Cathedral anyway.

The cathedral itself is very average. However the views from the top is amazing. The white domes are beautiful. Reminded me a little of Barcelona. Easily the best thing in Leon.

Very big church built in 1700. It is the biggest church in all Central America and one of the best attractions to visit in Leon. With too many details in its architecture and in its interior, you can spend hours appreciating it. In here are...More

The cathedral dominates the square below, with its plain white somewhat simple architecture, and distinctive dome. The interior is fairly plain too, with the exception of a few plain white statues of the saints, and a rather depressing, if depictive, series of paintings representing Christ's...More

The view is great from the roof. Its nice to see the work they are doing to preserve it. The artwork inside is beautiful.

Well worth seeing, this cavernous church has an imposing and impressive exterior and a surprisingly detailed interior, which is unusual for Central America. Right on the main city square, there are hawkers surrounding the cathedral, which adds to the atmosphere.

This church is beautiful and there's so much to see inside. There are multiple "eyes" located inside the church at strategic, historic, significant locations. I won't spoil it by telling you where they are. As other reviewers have noted, if you pay to climb up...More

If you love churches and/or architecture this a must stop. We didn't take the tour, but paid the fee for a self tour. This church is amazing! To take the tour, shoes are NOT allowed. It can get very hot on the exposed portions of...More

You have to take of your shoes so as not to make marks on the white roof or damage the ballustrades.
