About
Faith Weavers is a family cooperative that started in 2006 in the city of Leon, Nicaragua. The Cooperative is known for its beautiful and vibrant artisanally woven textiles made of 100% cotton and wool yarn. These products are crafted on hand-built wooden looms each with a unique and special design. The blankets and other accessories are created in an eco-friendly, sustainable, and low-impact manner using solely the physical force and creativity of the artist. Come and learn the process and test your weaving skills on our manual looms!

Truly amazing, you must visit Artesania de Leon

I visited here in December 2017 whilst staying at La Mariposa Spanish School and was so impressed with everything about the place that I took home 4 blankets! Even if I had been charged for excess baggage flying back home it would have been worth it to own such a beautiful piece of handcrafted work. It was so hard to choose between such lovely pieces and each one representing many hours of work. I was encouraged to try using a loom myself and was given some excellent training. My family were thrilled with their gifts which I am sure will be treasured for many many years. If you have the chance to visit do go... You won't be disappointed.

This place is absolutely amazing! It is a cooperative, in which the women involved weave blankets, towels and other things on looms. It is absolutely fantastic to experience. The ladies are very kind and welcoming! Go Visit!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of finally discovering this lovely group of ladies this last Friday. The work and dedication is beyond anything I imagined. We purchased 3 rugs, a set of 6 place settings and a beautiful decorative wall hanging. All created and made by these lovely women. Its a must place to go and shop..

Experience Time Travel!

If you would like to experience time travel then I can recommend a visit here!
Artesania Textile La Fe is only a 5 minute $1 taxi ride from the centre of Leon, but two hundred years away from the modern industrial society we live in today. This cooperative makes beautiful cotton products in the way that our ancestors did, using wooden looms and sweat. No robots, electronics or motors used here!
The staff are very friendly and eager to demonstrate the process. If you want to purchase something there are gifts available starting at $5, but there is no pressure to buy. Its an interesting way to spend an hour in Leon away from the usual tourist sites.

This place is absolutely amazing. It is a must for whoever wants to bring themselves back a great souvenir from Nicaragua. It's beautiful, hand made in front of your eyes, the ladies are soooo lovely (we actually had a lot of fun with them) and unique.
