Pictured Rocks Cruise
Sep 2021
We were able to see from the water rather than hiking in. Although, i bet it would be a very nice hike.

Beautiful!!
Aug 2021 • Family
Beautiful, mostly flat easy terrain trail through the woods. Several platforms available for viewing the waterfall. Our three year olds managed the out and back just fine.

Beautiful falls once you get there
Jul 2021
The drive to the falls was a bit bumpy, with dips and potholes in the road. We had an F-150 so that was nice, I felt bad for the lower riding sedans going through the road to get there. However they do tell you the road to Chapel Falls is ROUGH. The hike in to the falls was 1.4 miles. Totally worth the hike to see the falls. The falls are absolutely beautiful, so peaceful there in nature too. There is also a bridge to walk over and see the falls from the other side. The path to these falls are very rough/bumpy/have inclines/tree roots sticking up, so be careful when walking. Not wheelchair or walker accessible to see these falls. Bring water (there is a bathroom at the front of the park), bug spray, and wear layers as if its a warmer day you can get pretty sweaty. Also recommend tennis shoes and not flip flops. Hike in is somewhat challenging for those who are not in shape or have health issues.

Bumpy road, crowded trail head, nice hike
Jul 2020 • Couples
The Chapel Falls trail itself is shaded, easy to moderate, and a nice hike through the woods to a pretty waterfall. It took us about an hour and we enjoyed it a lot, though we are all in decent shape. You can get fairly close to the falls, as long as you are cautious, and there is a nice bridge over the river.
The Chapel Lake overlook trail is currently closed.
As others have mentioned, though, the road there is very bumpy. It took at least 30 dusty, noisy minutes to travel the four miles back to the trailhead. The road near the trailhead is crowded to the point of being one lane of traffic on a narrow road and there isn’t much parking. Put toilets are currently open, without a way to sanitize your hands, so bring your own sanitizer. Not sure if it was worth the trip, but we were glad we found a parking spot and did the trail after the journey there.

Long hike
Jun 2020
Make sure you have long sleeves and long pants on. most specially your mosquito/bug spray. It is a long hike on soft uneven and slippery ground. Not a good hike for people with ankle, knee and hip issues. Even with the spray, mosquitos follow you literally I guess trying to find a spot you forgot to spray. But, the falls is beautiful. Even if you want to stay longer, you can't because of the mosquitos. Still love the place.

Great falls
Sep 2019
This was a great fall to hike to. The hike wasn't long and not real hard. You would not be able to take strollers or people with difficulty getting around. We saw a woman with a walker that was only able to get a few hundred yards up the trail. There are some hills. Make sure you layer clothes. When we entered around noon it was cool enough we needed jackets. By the time we came out a little over an hour we were carring those jackets.

Beautiful falls on a pretty, shady trail
Jul 2019
I live in Texas so the greenery and falls in the middle of July were in themselves impressive/a wonderful change of pace for me.

I had limited time left in the day so just did the loop from the trailhead to the falls, about 0.25 miles past the falls, and back. It's a relatively easy hike and while I did see a lot of people it never felt too crowded and there were quite a few periods of time where it felt as though it was just me and nature. Very peaceful. These were the only falls I made it to on this visit so I don't have others in the area to compare them to, but they were stunning. I'd love to go back and do the full 10 mile loop.

Nice falls along a very beautiful trail
Jul 2019
These falls are located about 1.4 miles from the trailhead that goes to Chapel Rock. If you head north from the trailhead you hit the falls at the 1.4 mile point and the rock at the 3.1 mile point then it goes west along the beach and loops around tot he south and east to end up again at trailhead. Not much elevation changes so it is not a difficult trail to hike. The entire loop is a but over 10 miles but you can go as far as Chapel Rock and turn back around for a 6 mile hike. Trail is very well maintained and there are pit latrines at the trailhead which were nice and clean. There is no water at trailhead so make sure to bring enough for yourself. Parking area t trailhead is good but fills up quickly so you may need to park along the road.

Pretty falls
Jul 2019 • Family
These falls are about half way on the hike to Chapel rock/beach. The falls are pretty and have a bridge to be seen from both sides. If you are not up to the hike to Chapel Rock , this is a good place to see the falls and turn back. The hiking path to Chapel Falls is pretty flat - we saw someone with a baby stroller. But after the falls, the path gets a little bumpy- so no stroller after the falls.

Vacation hike
Jul 2019 • Family
This was a long walk with no resting benches. The falls were nice, but Miners Falls are better. Wished we had gone to Misquote Falls instead of this one for the last hike of the day
