Less people when we went because of COVID thing. It is a nice place to just sit and enjoy the view. Make sure you have your bug/mosquito spray.

It was a nice spot for a half day sunshine of the 4 days we were at Munising MI. I guess the best time to visit is around July.

The ice curtains aren't exactly at Sand Point beach but that is where you have to park in order to access them. From the first parking lot you have to walk back down the road a half mile or so until you start seeing trails into the woods and signs for the various named curtains.

Sand Point Beach is a surprisingly nice sandy beach, located at the end of Sand Point Road about 4 miles (6.4k) north of Munising, and is made better by the shallow water found here being significantly warmer than what one normally experiences at a Lake Superior beach. In
