My wife and I went with a couple of friends and got some sage advice from those who'd been there before. We took the sunset boat tour and sat on the top, right (starboard) side of the boat. This definitely provided the best view of the rocks while the light was still good, and let us enjoy the magnificent sunsets... More

Totally worth the visit. Beautiful in all seasons but the weather may prove to be more hazardous in the winter.

For an overall panoramic view of Pictured Rocks, take the affordable Pictured Rocks Cruise, which offers a view from the water. (See my other review.) Then venture into the National Lakeshore via car from Munising. First stop is Munising Falls, just outside Munising, a very short trip and almost impossible to miss, it's so clearly marked. There's ample parking, and... More

How can one review natures splendor! Incredible! If you hike the NCT make sure you take enough water with you! A walking stick is helpful also.

I'm not sure how to put the beauty of Pictured Rocks into words....My friend and I did the 4pm cruise, and just wow!! Breathtaking views, and a wonderful explenation from the ship captain. I took so many pictures, I just could not help myself. Next time, I plan on video recording the journey. Not so sure I could handle the... More

I'm afraid we were underwhelmed by the Pictured Rocks NL and it was probably our fault ? On a tight time schedule didn't do the homework and realise the Rocks are best & meant to be viewed from the Lake !! In late November those opportunities are rare ! Either way , still enjoyed what we got to see &... More

Had a great time, weather didn't cooperate so we couldn't do kayaking. Very busy tourist attraction but worth the visit!

I've driven by this heading north my whole life and finally in my 60's we stopped fora hike and the cruise. If you are debating whether or not to do it then rest assured it's worth it. Children would be bored but teens and above will love it. The cruise takes you out so you can see all the rock... More

Visited Pictured Rocks for a day with the intent to Hike and/or Kayak. Waves were brutal that day so we decided to hike. The trails were nice and groomed, with clear direction. The only thing that would have been nice would have been having miles to go included on the signs on the trails. Other than that the hiking was... More

My husband and I hike 8 miles on the North Country Trail. It is a nice hike with rugged terrain. There was a bear warning at Mosquito Point, we turned around and walked back. It was a long strenous hike with some nice areas at the cliffs to take pictures. Be careful and heed the warnings.
